1985 Supra Comp TS6M Ski Boat End of Season Special! This is a very nice 1985 Supra Comp TS6M boat. The boat features a 351 V8 Inboard engine that starts and runs perfectly. This is very nice boat for water skiing or wake boarding; depending on your speed it will throw an excellent wake for either one! This boat handles like a sports car and pulls like one too! It is also a great boat to just cruise around the lake and enjoy the water. This Supra has been well taken care of, and has had quite a lot of work done to keep it maintained and in great usable condition. Most notably, the previous owner had the wooden stringers completely replaced in 2006 at a cost of about $6,000! This means you will likely never have to worry about the stringers rotting out for the life of the boat! I have receipts to prove this was done. As you may know, any Supra boat of this age that has not had the stringers replaced is bad news, as they almost always have to be redone at a huge cost! Since the stringers were done, the boat has never been kept on the water; it has been kept on the trailer under a water tight cover. So there is very little doubt that the stringers are still in excellent condition. Additionally, all of the seat cushions, with the exception of the driver's seat, were re-covered at the beginning of this season, so all of the seats and upholstery are in great condition. The driver seat has some cracking on the back side of it, but it is not too bad. The floor is solid all around, and the carpet is clean and in good condition. Some of the staples for the vinyl trim on the back bench seat are coming off, so the trim piece is not totally secured, but this is pretty minor. Overall, the interior is very nice. Hours are approximately 629. Hour meter reads 429 hours, but previous owner said the original hour meter quit at around 200 hours. The 351 PCM Inboard V8 runs wonderfully. It starts right up, purrs like a kitten, and pulls hard at all RPMs. This is a very healthy motor that needs nothing. It does not burn or leak any oil. The carburetor is well tuned and dialed in correctly. The transmission goes into gear easily and takes off very smoothly. Propeller is in good shape with no major nicks or blemishes. The boat has a decent shine for an 85. It can use a buff job if you want to restore it to it's original luster, but it is not bad as is. Just be aware it is a 1985, so there is some fading and it doesn't look like a brand new boat. But, not many 1985s do. There aren't any cracks anywhere on the hull. There is a small crack on the top layer of gel coat on the top section above the rub rail, but it is just a cosmetic crack, not structural at all. The swim platform is an aftermarket wooden platform which looks good and works well. Pretty much everything on the boat works, including the bilge pump, lights, most of the gauges, and horn. Sometimes the speedometers do not work, and the gas gauge does not read correctly. The blower works but makes a whining sound. Trailer is in fair condition, with some surface rust in areas, but it drives great. Tires are in good condition but I am not sure if the lights work, as I have never had to trailer it far so I have not connected the lights. The boat comes with an excellent trailer-able cover, which works great to keep the elements out if you need to store the boat outside. I have kept the boat outside, and the cover keeps the inside of the boat nice and very dry. Overall, this is a very nice boat that is ready for the water right now! I have had it out on the water all summer, and it has performed flawlessly through water skiing, wake boarding, and just cruising around the lake! It has been a great boat!
