The Tiara 38 Open is a straight inboard vessel with a solid glass hull bottom for near perfect weight distribution. The 38 Tiara requires little to no trim in calm sea conditions and runs at a much flatter and more comfortable attitude at planing speeds than many of its competition. There is very little bow rise during the transition from displacement to planing speeds, which is the sign of a well designed hull. This 2006 38' Tiara Open TTS has the highly desirable Cummins QSC8.3L diesels, which are rated at 490 HP each (the highest horsepower ever offered in the Tiara 38 Open). The QSC is a fully electronic Common Rail diesel which is much more fuel efficient, quieter, with much better acceleration and is cleaner burning (little to no smoke during acceleration) than its mechanical or hybrid (mechanical engine with electronic fuel injection) predecessors.
