The 38 Tiara requires little to no trim in calm sea conditions and runs at a much flatter and more comfortable attitude at planing speeds than many of its competition. There is very little bow rise during the transition from displacement to planing speeds, which is the sign of a well designed hull. This 2006 38' Tiara Open TTS has the highly desirable Cummins QSC8.3L diesels, which are rated at 490 HP each (the highest horsepower ever offered in the Tiara 38 Open). The QSC is a fully electronic Common Rail diesel which is much more fuel efficient, quieter, with much better acceleration and is cleaner burning (little to no smoke during acceleration) than its mechanical or hybrid (mechanical engine with electronic fuel injection) predecessors. 1986 Tiara 3100 Open 1986 Tiara 3100 Continental Model. Twin Crusader 350 hp inboards . Fresh water cooled with 1200 hours. This boat is in good condition and runs very well. She sleeps two in the forward stateroom plus two dinette berths. The main salon has air conditioning, Television, dinette table, stereo. There is a full galley on the portside including refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner electric stove, fresh water sink, hot water heater. The head is on the port and includes an electric flushing toilet, shower and sink. On the foredeck there is a Maxwell anchor windlass and bow light. The cockpit has two in-deck fishboxes. The boat is equipped with a Westerbeke generator 6.5 kw but does not run.
