This is a beautiful French made modern replica of a 1930s ballasted dayboat . The Tofinou 7 is extremely versatile with a lifting centreplate that reduces the 1m draft to 500mmThis will allow the boat to sit in a dry mooring either with or without beaching legs. To minimise maintenance the hull and deck are constructed in high quality GRP capped off with a beautiful laid teak deck and high gloss mahogany combings and rails. The Tofinou 8m is a Spirit of Tradition yacht from the design board of Joubert- Nivelt, built in Ile de Re , France. Construction and finish are elegant and eye-catching.
The goal was to build a fast, modern day-sailer that would be easy for short-handed or single-handed sailing. The fit and finish was to be yacht quality.
