2003 Cruisers Yachts 405 Express Motoryacht You just found a well maintained 2003 Express Motor Yacht labeled a 4150 / 4050 / 405 / 415 by Cruisers Yachts. It has a verified 273 hours of runtime on its twin 8.1HO 425hp engines!. She is what Cruiser Yachts marketing execs called a crossover yacht, meaning that she offers the upper-deck attributes of an express cruiser and the interior comforts of an aft-cabin motor yacht. In fact, this yacht was very innovative in 2003 and still is to this day, and her below deck accommodations are impressive indeed and her cockpit is much more social than her competitors with a portside lounge and built in aft cockpit sitting and wet bay with a full ice make and fridge. Built on a fully cored hull, her express-style helm and cockpit arrangement keeps the captain and passengers in the same general area. A sliding door next to the helm leads down to the salon with its faux leather upholstery, cherry woodwork, and tiered side windows. A fully equipped galley and four-person dinette are to starboard in the salon, and a hatch in the floor provides access to the engine room. 2003 Cruisers Yachts 405 Express The 40' Cruisers Yachts 4050 Express Motor Yacht offers an express layout on the upper deck while providing full aft-cabin comfort below. This is a "Pet" and "Child" friendly yacht with wide molded-in entry stairs to the sundeck from the swim step. The Cruisers 4050 is designed with systems accessibility, an uncomplicated environment and about as much hassle-free boating as buyers can expect and the 4050 makes boating easy. Open the four centerline hatches and you have a quick visual of most ship's systems. Beneath the master berth aft is the rear bilge, with steering, underwater exhaust and trim tab external assemblies. Through the salon sole is the machinery compartment, including the main engines, electrical system and generator. A third hatch, forward of the engine compartment, leads to the air-conditioning compressors, the holding tank and the pumps. A hatch within the forward cabin leads to the optional bow thruster and its dedicated battery. This ease of access, along with the gray-water collector and sump keep bilge areas clean and dry. Under way, the feel is more like an express boat with a slightly elevated helm. Only a glance at the aft reminds you this is a motor yacht. Sitting behind the helm is quite comfortable, and all controls are within easy reach. The windshield is tall, offering no interference with sight lines at the meeting of the isinglass. The cockpit area is one step down from the helm, keeping everyone together under way or dockside. Aside from the sunpad forward, most areas are enclosed, which will let families extend the boating season by a month or two on either side of summer. Molded into the enclosure's sides, a foot off the deck, are air scoops. These ventilate the area behind the transom, effectively reducing fumes while under way and preventing a station wagon effect from developing. Below decks, plenty of natural light fills the full-beam salon (side decks are above cabin height). There is clear separation between social areas and the galley, and the dinette and L-shape settee convert to berths. As with other boats in her class, the 4050's galley has uncluttered working surfaces. A convenient four-gang, not two, outlet is above the counter for multiple appliances.
