My answer is that I am tired of paying insurance, annual maintenance, etc. to use it once or twice a year.I've owned four jet boats and all were 18' or smaller. It was previously owned by a couple in their mid 60's and was too much for them to handle anymore. When I purchased the boat, I had someone to help with it. A few months after I purchased it, relationship status changed and it left me with 2900 lbs of boat to handle on my own. It's more like a job than pleasure at this point for me. This boat would be perfect for a family or couple that likes to entertain. I've done a lot of homework and 2003 models kept outdoors in so-so condition are running $20-$23k. Mine is a 2005 and has a 2010 trailer with disk brakes. In addition, the trailer has a trailer brake actuator that allows you to stop on a dime. After the additional add on's such as a bimini top, gel battery, party table, boat cover, depth sounder, new stainless steel performance Solas impellers and spare tire w/carrier, the book value is over $27k. The boat has always lived in a boat hotel or my garage during the off season. everything is in great condition, the seats discolor until the sun whitens them up. Motors always serviced by skiWorx in Pasadena, MD. I had a custom bimini top made for it, and had the original holes gel coated. Put in a great sounding sound system with iPhone/Android interface trailer has great tires, all life jackets and new anchor included. Great boat, I've used it 4-5 times a year for tubing with my kids, kids all gone....I have the boat listed locally and have the right to discontinue this from ebay if sold.
