This Red and White is hull #15, produced in 1947 as a 1948 model. This boat was originally sold on Lake Tahoe, and has spent the last 15 years in Coeur d Alene and Hayden Lake, Idaho. The stock original engine is a rare MB model, with a custom, period correct, Cyclone aluminum head. The stock Chris Craft head will be included in this sale. Also included is a custom mooring cover, and front and rear cockpit covers. Finally, this Red and White includes a newer Trail-Rite trailer custom built for this boat. All maintenance has been done to this boat on a continuing basis, and the boat has been kept in climate controlled storage during the winter months. This is a beautiful example of a rare, hard to find Red and White Racing Runabout. 1983 27' Excalibur Speedster (new cover last season) This boat has been in my family a long time. I am only selling due to focusing on other things right now. Not because I WANT to sell it.......... 1998 375 Hp 502 Mercruiser crate motor MPI with closed cooling system. Engine install is very clean. 500 hrs on engine. New impeller last season along w/ all accessory drive belts. Oil & filter changed as well as fuel filter. New batteries last season. Has isolator switch to turn off or connect both. 2008 BoatMaster all aluminum trailer (has spare & surge disc brakes) Custom Marine Headers (stainless) exit under swim platform. Original TRS Drive I've had it push 63-64 @ 5150 rpm on the GPS, but the really nice thing is it cruises around 40-45 at 3500-4000 rpm...Hence making it a relatively fuel efficient for a boat, not that there is such a thing. The dash is the original Excalibur Marine Dash, but with "newer" Gaffrig Gauges w/yellow bezels. I also replaced the Hydraulics. IE: Trailer Trim Pump and Rams, and Internal Power Steering a couple years ago. The cabin is very plain, completely open with a bench on each side, a little storage area in the very front of the bow, and Porto-Potti area in the V berth. It has a Clarion Head unit & amp as well. The boat has always been outstanding and reliable on the water, and VERY mechanically sound. Interior & seats have a couple rips from age. 1961 Century Coronado Gull Wing With Removable T-Tops. Current Owner Purchased The Boat In 1986. It Retains It's Complete Originality Including The Gray Marine Engine. The Original Dual Carburetors Were Replaced With a Single Barrel However The Original Carburetors Have Been Retained. The Condition Of The Boat Would Be Considered To Be Very Good To Excellent. It Was Completely Restored Just A Few Years Ago With Only Approximately 10 Hours Of Operation Time Since Then. It Had Been In Storage and/or Under Cover The Entire Time. As Is The 1960 Coronado, This Particular Year Is Arguably The Most Desirable Of All Model Years. 1960 Century Coronado (Full sliding top w/porthole) Current owner purchased the boat in 1976. At that time, it was equipped with a Gray Marine American Motors engine. A few years later, that engine developed problems so the owner replaced it with a Chrysler Marine Hemi engine with a dual four carburetor that was taken from another 1960 Coronado the owner also had purchased. That engine performed well for a number of years but a problem developed which required repair parts. At the time, Chrysler Marine parts were very difficult to obtain, and the boat was inoperable for a few weeks (in the middle of summer), while parts were obtained from distant sources. Finding this frustrating, the owner elected to replace the Chrysler engine with a new Chevrolet 454 engine and Morse single control. That replacement has more horsepower and is lighter in weight than the Chrysler hemi. Performance was improved and replacement parts are readily available at most marine service locations. The 1959/1960 Coronado had a white painted hull and surrounding rail. (Owner thought they might be trying to make the boat look more like fiberglass that was becoming vogue at the time. Just a guess) In any event, the owner thought it a shame to paint over the beautiful wooden hull. So after a refurbish, the owner had the white paint removed in order to expose the beautiful wood beneath. In that regard, this Coronado is not entirely ‘correct’ as would be defined by collectors. Additionally, the interior vinyl side panels have been upgraded with a Honduran mahogany application. Upholstery had been altered as well. The boat has a marvelous sound system with entirely hidden speakers and equipped with satellite radio. The boat has been on the cover of Classic Boating Magazine as well as the cover of the Century Boat Club Thoroughbred. The condition of the boat is very good. The bottom has been double planked and is sound. It had been surveyed for insurance purposes a couple of years ago. All the gauges, including the clock, work well as do lights and horn.
