1976 Cal/Jensen CAL 34 MK-III This is a better sailing Cal 34 than the last one I listed!  With good sails and even a mast Strong-Track for the main sail, a clean bottom and a max prop, this is one of the best Cal 34s available out-there. She's thoughtfully well-equipped with every thing you need, for PNW cruising, and ready to go.  In production for 21 years, the Cal 34 was the the most popular of all the Cal models.  Cal 34's are know for their large well designed v-berth, larger than on some 40' boats.  The 34 III is the culmination of design feedback from thousands of customers resulting in an intelligent well thought out design. These are practical utilitarian boats designed to sail well, not be a condo at the marina. Featuring a strong hand laid-up fiberglass hull, they are so well balanced, that they practically sail themselves.  With a history of ocean crossings and competitive racing, Cal 34's rarely come to market.  This Cal 34-III has been loved for the last 14 years, upgraded and well cared for by experienced owners.  Owners are moving, price has dropped, so come make an offer soon!

1974 Cal/Jensen II-34 Another Cal 34?  Yep, these "classic plastic" boats are such a deal!  Solid and comfortable, these family cruisers are fun to sail, comfortable to cruise, and very well constructed.  With the linear galley, boat would be an excellent liveaboard! The CAL MK II was designed by Bill Lapworth and well built by Jensen Marine. This popular racer/cruiser is a great family boat with a well-designed interior that maximizes the use of space.  The interior is laid out with a forward V-berth that will comfortably sleep two adults, and is a bigger berth than on many 40er's.  There are two aft quarter berths, for storage or sleeping, and, the convertible dinette to port converts into a double berth for a full boat load of 6!  There is ample storage in drawers, cabinets, a hanging locker and under berth storage for all of your supplies.  The galley is well laid-out with a deep and well insulated icebox, stainless steel sink, and 3-burner stove with oven.  The sails are in better condition than you might expect. Check out the pics, and come see the boat soon.CAL's are known for lasting quality, roomy interior, good headroom and fast sailboats. If you're looking for a solid boat to move up to, or a great boat to start sailing you can't go wrong with this one.  DON'T MISS THIS CHANCE TO OWN A CLASSIC. . .

Up for sale is this 1974 Bill Lapworth-designed Cal-Jensen Pilothouse Sloop with 35 foot hull. William C. “Bill” Lapworth is world-renowned and believed by some to be the foremost West Coast Naval Architect of the post-World War II era, and Jensen employed Lapworth to design several highly celebrated yachts. The hull has been professionally reconditioned to better tan original specs, and is basically a “blank slate”, waiting for you to finish to your own specifications! What you get is a custom cradle holding a Cal-Jensen Pilot House Sloop Hull, 35 foot length, 11 foot beam, OVER 6 feet of interior standing room(must see to appreciate the roominess). The keel is encapsulated in thick fiberglass rather than bolted on, so it cannot just fall off. The interior has been removed down to the hull, most thru-hulls closed, and all portlight openings closed. Side deck core material has been replaced with fiberglass; interior wood core material covered with fiberglass; interior angles have been reinforced with fiberglass; and complete “shoebox” deck-to-hull joint reinforced with fiberglass. The entire interior has been sanded and gel coated down into the bilge, made ready for you to finish out how you see fit. As far as the hull, any blisters have been painstakingly sanded out, filled, hull faired, and coated with 2 coats of barrier coat 1000 epoxy, 3 coats of Interlux 2000 barrier coat, 1 coat of Interlux “Blue” bottom paint and 2 coats of Interlux Ultra “Red” bottom paint, so when you see blue, you’ll know it’s time to repaint. Comes with an approximately 45 foot aluminum mast with boom & whisker pole, which is shown on the foredeck. Also included is a reconditioned spade rudder with steering wheel, NEW twin long-range custom aluminum fuel tanks(that fit neatly under the main saloon deck), with baffles and sending units; added bow rails with extended teak-decked bow pulpit w/ double anchor rollers; AND added aft rails with dinghy davits and walk-through to swim platform. All projects have been professionally completed & owner has in excess of $100,000.00 invested. Owner is a former Coast Guardsman with Bering Sea experience, selling due to a recent extended hospitalization. His dream was a roomy, safe, strong, seaworthy vessel(capable of sailing around the world if so desired) with a fast, sea-kindly bottom, and this sloop was his choice. The modified full keel allows very responsive maneuvers at shallower depths and draws only 4.67 feet (Shoal draft). Spade rudder provides quick responsiveness- vessel can swing 360 degrees in little more than its own length!(which is helpful in a marina). The sharp bow pierces waves, then rises to a high rounded nose that smashes waves as it comes down, giving a powerful and exhilarating ride. This ship was built to withstand the rigors of the open ocean; it has sailed intercontinentally before, and it can do it again. So, in closing, my loss is your gain; I am offering my dream to you for a fraction of what I have invested in it. Please email with any questions. Ship is located in Kemah, Texas.
