This is a Charlie Morgan-designed hull, modified with an updated fared fin-keel, balanced transom-hung rudder, a practical cruising interior, and an 8hp Yanmar diesel engine, built by Chrysler TMI and re-known as the 1980 Chrysler TMI S-27. “Eclipse” is an excellent example of the “Performance” model, so she is faster, lighter, with less woodwork than the “Cruising” version of this popular Morgan S-27 model, and best of all, she is solid fiberglass, with no coring, not even the decks.
