This boat is an absolute gem – excellent condition, beautifully appointed, comprehensive restoration in 2010 includes Awlgrip repaint (hull & topsides), upgraded Raymarine navigation system (autopilot, radar, GPS, chart plotter). Located in Westbrook Connecticut. Very well-maintained and clean through-out with lots of custom features and amenities. Sloop rig, Fiberglass construction, Bulb keel, Wheel steering - 28 Hp Volvo 2003 Inboard Diesel engine (new in 1993). ACCOMODATIONS: V-berth forward w/stowage, port-side single w/stowage, q-berth port, double berth stbd., enclosed head with hanging locker, chart table to port, galley to stbd., 2-burner propane stove, Adler-Barbour refrigeration, gimbaled stainless steel sink and stovetop, two hatches. CONSTRUCTION: Red fiberglass hull and fiberglass deck (Awlgrip in 2010), wheel steering, lifelines/gates, bow pulpit, swim ladder, bulb keel, skeg-hung rudder. According to the seller, all systems operate properly and there are no deficiencies. The sails are all in good serviceable condition. The hull has a good finish and there are no defects or blistering in the hull. The original price of this vessel was $250,000. The two-cabin set-up has the owner's cabin forward and a double cabin on the portside aft. The starboard side aft holds the head and a big cockpit locker. The cabin settees are easily long and wide enough to sleep two bodies. The table, with drop-leafs either side, is set amidships. The owner's cabin in the bow is a nice place to be. There is a hanging locker, shelving down the hull sides and across the bow area. Marine toilet was removed to comply with regulations.No motor, has outboard well. No trailer. Mast shrouds are loose, turnbuckles are tightened all the way and still loose. I heard it has cracks in fiberglass on the fin keel with rust coming out, but I don't know. Has main sail, jib, and storm jib in fair to good condition. I don't have any other history or information about this boat. Boat looks good inside and out. Has to be moved by February. In the water on the Connecticut coast, Sold as is.

1981 Dufour 4800, This Dufour performance cruiser was built in 1981 at a time when boats were built to last while still being fast and comfortable. This particular boat was especially ordered and delivered for Bruno Bich, (BIC corp.) owner of the Dufour boats at the time. Many features were added such as a racing keel, rudder and mast for added performance along with top of the line rigging. Since 1981, many improvements and replacements were made to the boat to give it a mint condition ratingit is a perfect boat for cruisers with a family of 4-6 with an interest in competing in local races or simply wanting a fast, reliable and comfortable ride.
