1972 Hinckley CUTTER ....Classic....NIRVANA was carefully modified in 1985 at the Hinckley Boat yard, adding a 4’ transom extension, a powerful bow sprit and modifying her from a ketch to a cutter rig. Her mast height was increased to 63’11”, giving her a favorable sail displacement ratio of 15.6. She carries 1123 square feet of working sails, a furling genoa, furling staysail, and main. The hull is solid fiberglass, with a keel/centerboard, a center cockpit, an aft cabin, and an owner’s private aft cockpit. The vessel is a solid, very stable, long range cruising yacht with excellent sailing capabilities The high freeboard, wide decks, together with a beautifully appointed and comfortable living accommodations all contribute to this unique and magnificent vessel. The topsides and deck were recently professionally resurfaced with two coats of Awlgrip and all the teak trim professionally redone with 8 coats of varnish. NIRVANA is easily handled by a couple, with its electric winches, roller furling, doger/bimini, and abundance of electronics.
