2010 Hunter Edge, All the fun of a keelboat with the low cost of a trailerable sailboat! This Hunter Edge is loaded with options from the Hunter factory, including pressure water, a plumbed head, a high-end stereo system, flat screen TV, shore power and cable hookup, anchor kit, full complement of Doyle sails, bimini, etc. Dual-axle trailer purchased separately in 2013. Professionally maintained Evinrude E-TEC 75hp maxes out around 16-17 knots depending on the weight load. Unique lifting weighted centerboard and rudder allow 18" draft in marinas; water ballast system reduces weight to allow for trailering. The Edge has the feel of Hunter's small keelboats, with stability, warm wood-trimmed interiors, and a sturdy rig and mast raising system. At 4600 pounds, it still trailers behind a normal SUV; out of water storage saves on wear and tear. 2010 Hunter 27 the Edge
This versatile sailboat doubles as a fun motor boat. The roomy interior combined with the "hybrid" semi-planing hull gives you a lot of options out on the water.
This hull is it is a good mix between a displacement hull and a planing hull. With the big 75 Hp Evinrude E-Tech it is capable of 18-19 knots. The 1,600 # water ballast capability provides the stability for very predictable sailing.
