1976 Irwin Ketch The Irwin 37 a roomy, appealing, center cockpit cruising design introduced in 1971. Great boat for cruising to Mexico and coastal islands. Well equipped for your journey. Clearly the strongest point of the Irwin 37 is its layout, livability and considerable storage offered on a 37' boat. The layout of the 37 generally remained unchanged throughout it's production. There is a spacious aft cabin reached via a port side passageway from the mid-cabin main saloon, a separate galley to starboard and aft of the main saloon and a v-berth stateroom forward. There are two heads one next to the aft stateroom and one between the main saloon and forward stateroom. Large comfortable berths and spacious cabins make this a very comfortable boat dockside and at anchor.

Actual Condition It is reported this Irwin 52 suffered water intrusion through a failed intake hose for the AC unit mounted behind the galley. Seawater entered through the failed hose and quickly filled the bilge. The water reached a level approx 15 inches above the main salon floor. The vessel will need mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic repairs to all areas that got wet. The hull appears sound and the vessel shows well, considering. 1975 Irwin Center Cockpit Ketch This is a 42' Irwin Center Cockpit Ketch, built of fiberglass by Irwin Yachts.LOA: 42' / Beam: 13' 3" / Draft: 4' 5" / Displacement: 29,000 lbsPowered by a 45hp 4-cylinder Isuzu diesel engine. This boat was dismasted (main & mizzen, both deck-stepped) after attempting to go under a fixed railroad bridge which was not quite high enough to allow normal passage. As a result, the following items will have to be replaced: * Masts and booms (along with all fittings - spreaders, tangs, etc.)* All standing rigging (the turnbuckles appear to be in useable condition)* All running rigging* Mizzen sail torn at head, tears in jib (main sail and genoa appear to be serviceable) List of related damage includes:* At least two bent chain plates* Bow pulpit supports broken* Main mast deckstep box bent The boat itself has not been surveyed since the accident, but does not appear to have suffered any major structural damage.
