The vessel has been sailed extensively. She has been sitting on the hard for a few years and will probably need some work before hitting the water. She is currently on the hard in a shipyard and can remain there if needed. The shipyard has a travel lift so when she is ready she can easily splash. Dock space is also possible. As always, we recommend buyers conduct a professional inspection and survey. Stock #316691 Hard to find, spacious ISLAND TRADER 45 Masthead Ketch with Diesel Engine This rare Island Trader 45 masthead ketch was constructed by Marine Trading International and derived from an earlier William Hardin's design. It was built in Taiwan and finished in NJ, USA. The boat is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for living aboard and having up to eight guests. To give it a luxurious look and feel, the exterior has a light touch of teak without requiring extensive maintenance. The Island Trader also has ample storage space, a charming varnished teak interior, and intricately designed wooden doors. This sailboat is stable and sturdy, making it ideal for heavy blue water cruising. It has excellent fuel capacity, making it a great choice for long-range cruising. Reason for selling is no longer using.

The direct drive transmission is currently out of the boat and being professionally serviced, see pictures. There is ornately carved wood railing surrounding the aft deck. There are two windlasses, one manual and one electric. Both are reported by the owner to work as expected. She needs some work, so is a bit of a project boat. Come take a look.
