Cosmetic condition as depicted in photos, actually probably better when cleaned up as photos were taken while boat is in storage. No softness in the cockpit or foredeck was observed. The owner says the boat runs well. The fuel tank having been replaced is a big plus for a boat this age. For those new to boating who suffer from "dockaphobia", this particular example features a bow thruster to help one maneuver in close quarters and clear of nearby boats when wind and currents wish to take you elsewhere. The cockpit and helm offer plenty of seating and moving about space with good visibility, the walk-though windshield provides access to the foredeck and the built-in, molded swim platform has a retractable ladder. Down below the cabin has a convertible dinette / V-berth forward and a generously sized double berth aft, with a full galley and head with shower in between. The ideal, inexpensive entry for a couple or family of four, this boat should be easy on fuel, could be towed on a trailer without need for a permit, and have enough versatility to experiment with many locations and types of boating. 2001 Maxum 2500 SCR The Maxum 2500SCR is perfect size family express cruiser. The combination of high end cabin interior finishing along with a generous size exterior cockpit area with lots of seating. Additional items; bimini top with forward enclosure, aft bimini with camper enclosure, mooring cover; walk thry windshield for easy bow access. Note: The engine need work or replacement - had water in oil. The Bravo III outdrive has areas of corrosion. Boat offered reduced price to reflect need repairs.
