1979 Morgan Yachts 461 "Kokomo' , a classic and highly regarded 1979 Morgan 461 known for her sea kindly motion .. stiff in gusts, she easily handles winds into the low 20s without reefing. This Morgan 461 sails very well, often reaching speeds of 8 knots. Built by Morgan Yachts, the hull was designed by Henry Scheel and the cabin and deck layout by Charlie Morgan and Charlie Cary, founder of the Moorings, for comfortable long distance cruising. This particular Morgan 461 is powered by at ungraded (1987) 85 HP Perkins 4-236 (only 640 hrs) and a 5kw Northern Lights Luger with 1630 hrs. She is very well appointed and has been impeccably maintained by her current owner for the past ten years.
