Felix is an owner s edition design, built to the highest Loyd s of London standards, with an amazing Aerorig mast. Huge salon, more like a small condo than a boat. Gourmet galley, spacious main head with shower for two. 2 state rooms and a sleeping loft. Airy, light, and picturesque views from main salon. 10 opening hatches and 10 opening ports. The helms person has remarkable 360 degrees views while sailing, and is always sheltered in the fully enclosed cockpit. The captain is in the same area as guests and crew; not in some exposed and remote location. Only one control line. Tacking and Gybing is fun and easy due to the balanced self tacking rig. The jib has a traveler forward of the mast and requires no adjustments once set. The unstayed mast permits the carbon fiber rig to flex in heavy winds, thus permitting delayed reefing. No strained shrouds & stays to worry about. Coming about is simply a matter of turning the helm. The main sail can be easily trimmed with the self tailing 2 speed winch in the cockpit. The 2014 NEW main sail can be raised or lowered at almost any wind angle, simply by slacking the sheet and letting the rig rotate, and flag as the sail is raised or lowered. No need to bring the bow of the boat into the wind. Going down wind is one of the Aerorig s best features. No blanketed and luffing head sail, the jib is always in clean air, no worry of accidental gybing. The mast being forward aids in steering down wind, and reduces load on steering systems. The NEW 2013, Volvo 55hp engines and sail drives provide ample power, 7+ kts.cruising, and easy maneuverability when docking. All electronics NEW 2012.
