1975 Reliance 44 Offered for your consideration is this highly capable Bluewater Cruiser. This is the reliance 44 / hull number 4 out of 45. Of the 45 built, 42 are still in existence most of which have circumnavigated. Hull number 4 has transatlantic or two under her keel. Her sleek and fast Hull was completely laid by hand, the first in a temperature and humidity controlled environment in the industry! She's laid up with a one inch end cut balsa core making her hull among the strongest and most solid in the market. Additionally you benefit from the thermal and sound deadening insulation. After one night that will be tremendously appreciated. As stated this is a fast hull, 200 mile days are not uncommon. Recent work includes Rebuild of the Perkins 4107, new rudder, rebuilt Wagner hydraulic steering, new prop, new shaft, new cutless bearings ( shaft and rudder shoe), new packing, through hulls cleaned lubed and rebedded , removal of obsolete electronics in the hull, new mast boot, rebuilt the Morris controls and new cables.
