Mr. Corbin asked Mr. Dufour to increase the freeboard and flush the deck. In 1979, the first Corbin 39 came out of the resulting mold, and the Canadian manufacturer produced 129 Corbins until 1982. Most were sold as kits in varying degrees of completion. In 1982, a fire destroyed the deck molds, but because of continued strong demand, they decided to update the molds and continue production. The last Corbin 39 produced, hull number 199, was launched in 1990. The Corbin 39 is a double ender in the classic Scandinavian lineage of serious offshore cruisers like the Westsail 32. She features a long fin keel of 6 draft, high freeboard, and a blunt bow. Corbin produced various deck molds including flush, pilot, center cockpit, and aft cockpit variations. Corbin

1980 Corbin Les Bateaux Pilothouse Cutter 39 NEWLY REPOWERED JUNE 2015 (Beta Marine 38 hp Inboard Diesel and Saildrive) The interior of this Corbin was originally done by European Custom Yachts of Schenectady, NY and comes with beautiful solid mahogany interiors throughout. They’ve painstakingly refinished all the bright work on deck and upgraded many of the vital systems and creature comforts making her seaworthy and comfortable for a family of five. She comes with a very roomy interior including a pilot house, main salon, galley, head, closet and two private double berth cabins. There’s ample storage space below and a spacious raised foredeck making the boat highly functional for living aboard and long voyages. The boat has all new electronics and has had a total refurbishment in 2014. The current owners have a family of 5 and have just completed a comfortable and safe sailing trip from New England down the ICW and throughout the Bahamas. It’s time for the kids to go back to school which unfortunately means she won’t be used to its fullest potential and enjoyment level. .The boat will be traveling north on the ICW starting the end of May and will be in NH or Maine in July. If the timing works, the boat can be delivered to your port on the east coast of the USA during that period. As fo July 1st she just made it to Rhode Island. This boat has been well tested and is ready to go cruising right now! Set off into the wild blue yonder and endless sunsets.
