This 1977 Cascade 36 has normal wear and tear for its age. It's typically sailed and fished during the summer and is now on the hard. It will then be splashed in June of 2023. The oil is changed every few months when used, and the seller has very many spare parts aboard to keep the boat moving if there's an issue. The Seller reports the sails to be in good condition and the bottom may need a new coat of paint. The boat will be on the hard through June of 2023 but will be tarped and available to be seen if you're local to the boat. Stock #304085 Set sail for new adventures aboard the Cascade 36 with Yanmar diesel power! Built in the Portland area, the Cascade 36 models are very much enjoyed by nearly everyone who has owned one. A very sturdy and well-built hull will handle most water you put her through, so if circumnavigation is your thing, a Cascade 36 might work for you. The Seller uses this Cascade to fish for Salmon in the season. If used for trolling, the sails cannot be deployed as the two back stays are removed. It only takes about an hour to reattach the stays and go fishing. The Fish holds can hold up to around 250 Salmon. This sail area is fairly large for this boat, so she'll attain 8 knots in a good breeze. Even with the slightly narrower 10-foot beam, this boat has a lot of room in the cabin, so your passengers will have plenty of room for everyone. There's a V-berth forward that will comfortably sleep two, the dinette and settee in the salon, and a quarter berth aft. The galley is simple and compact with a sink, stove/oven, and icebox. The head is located right behind the V-berth forward, so it's easily accessible to everyone. Up in the pilothouse section on deck, you'll find a comfortable captain's chair from which to steer via the tiller. The 27 HP Yanmar diesel easily moves the boat through the water and sips fuel while doing so. The seller uses the boat as a fishing vessel, so the electronics package includes GPS-plotter-radar, depth finder, and auto-pilot for convenience. With all lines running back to the pilothouse, the Cascade 36 is a great boat to single hand as well.

There are 2 steering stations, one on the stern and one inside the cabin. With her inside steerage, she is ready for the coldest wettest days, and with her rather large and open cockpit she offers up the world to you when the conditions are amazing. The cockpit provides you access to the storage compartments, wheel steering pedestal with auxiliary controls. The owner reports this Gulf is easy to sail single-handed. The full-length keel holds the course when sailing. The roller furling jib is great for changing the size of the jib quickly. The raised pilothouse has a sit-down chart table, easily accessible electrical panels, inside steering station, and auxiliary controls to Starboard. To port is the galley with a double sink, ample counter space, an icebox, a stove with an oven, and plenty of storage. While cooking you can look out and enjoy the outdoors view through the portholes. This Gulf boasts plenty of light and easy visibility in her large open pilothouse giving that bright open feel along with her rich teak cabinetry. The salon has a long settee bench to port an L-shaped dinette to starboard that doubles as a large bunk after conversion. The table drops down and reveals a storage area for utensils and dishes. Take the opportunity to own this 1987 Gulf 32 sailboat to enjoy time on the water with your family and friends or as a live-aboard. Schedule a showing or make an offer while she is still available. Reason for selling is moving up.

The cabin is heated with a Dickinson diesel heater. It has a full head with an electro scan marine sanitation device. The engine is a Westerbeake. Nice solid boat, great liveaboard, or Ocean sailer. Per the seller: Boat updates; New ceiling put in (pictures to show) two new D-8 house batteries, Two new start batteries( 820 dollar update done last week) Engel fridge freezer, automatically switches from 12 volt house power to 120 volt shore power. stainless steel bar b que mounted on aft stanchion. 35d westerbeke powerplant, drop down projector screen with projector and play station 4 for a bad ass home theater experience. aluminum spiral step ladder for easy entry and exit. dickinson drip oil heater ( lived on the boat for 5 years in alaska and never had complaints about being cold) heater equipt with a barometric damper and a downdraft prevention exhaust cap. put a lot of work into getting it to work correctly for the boat. also upgraded aluminum fuel tank for the dickinson maybe 13 gallons? fuel water inline seperator for engine. marine sanitation device type two for legal harbor living anywhere i think even in california. bilge pump and automatic float ( but you dont need it cause she dont take on no water through any through hulls. cqr anchor 45 pound i believe. certainly enough for the boat and she is pretty heavy. only a manual anchor windlass but it does the job. sails aint so hot but they hold a foil. sail plan is a cutter rigged sloop with all foresail hallards running to the cockpit for single handing the ship. Boat will be dived and scrubbed here in July 2022. forward v berth with hanging locker two settees in the main cabin with lots of storage full size beautiful chart table three burner stove and oven. these blue water boats are some bad ass sea voyagers. the only thing i wished it had would be a shower but i never had any problem between harbour showers and i have heard of people doing the topside shower system. just too nippy in alaska. she is turn key and i took her out for a loop last June 2022. reliable little engine just takes some time to get her going after shes sat for a while but after those new batteries she came to life after not being started for a year or more. oh and a red dot heater for the cabin while the engine is running, same idea as a car heater working off antifreeze. that being said she cools with a heat exchanger keeping salt water out of the engine. thats was a deal breaker for me to not have.] Call us to arrange a showing on it or make an offer.
