During haul out last fall the vessel was in the sling heading for the cradle and the rear strap gave way and the vessel hit the hard damaging the running gear with an estimate of the damage between $12K-$30K. Its needs a lot of work to turn it into a world-class motoryacht. The seller who has done all of the work has recently passed and the vessel is currently in probate. The flybridge cover is only a few years old. She cruises nicely at about 19 mph and 2400rpm. The center Garmin on the bridge works and most all gauges work. There are a few gauges that do not. The refrigerator does not work. Stock #205792 Custom built from a 36' by owner in early 70's, all aluminum, twin diesel Cummings engines. Brand new canvas top. Runs great. This is a custom built 48' long all Aluminum aft cabin motoryacht. The seller is only the second owner of the original boat. There is a fabulous story that goes behind the custom build. If you make a visit you will here the wonderful story and see many pictures of this boats history. It originally was a 36' fire boat from 1969 that the city of Montreal purchased to fight fires along the cities riversides. It was not soon after sold to the current seller and 2 other men who owned it together. During the 1970's the current owner gained full ownership of the vessel and began to work on it turning it into what it is today. He always has been a professional aluminum fabricator and welder so he put his skills to work with this project. The boat runs great and cuts through the water so nicely. The original twin diesel Cummins engines have less than 1,000 original hours on them and fire up quickly. The boat has a great foundation for someone looking for a large yacht and wanting to do their own modifications and interior design. There is plenty of room inside to lay it out however you would like with an aft cabin for additional comfort, visitors, and overnighters. This Stately Yacht has both a Flying Bridge and Cabin Helm to give you the BEST in operating flexibility. The Upper Deck and the Aft Deck both have an open layout and plenty of room. If you are looking for a Yacht that has a fly bridge, an aft cabin, lower in price, twin diesels, and want a project to build and customize your own ideas into then this is a great start to a dream design. Reason for selling is out of boating.

Boat is currently in slip and waiting for haul out. List is long but anticipated date is in June/July. Full bottom maintenance will be done at that point. This is a STEAL at the price point! Seller says she needs some cosmetics but is sea worthy. ******* Please call, email or text to schedule a showing and let us impress you. Stock #113164 Custom Built to Highest Standards of Functionality, Performance and Stability. She has Superior Workmanship & is a One-of-a Kind Gem!!! 2009 CUSTOM BUILT 46 DIESEL DUCK TRAWLER!!! This is a one owner boat built and maintained by the seller. She is currently being lightly used, so the hours may fluctuate slightly. She was scratch-built from the keel up by the seller during the period from April 2003 to April 2011. It is a long-range diesel cruiser with a fiberglass/wood hull with shape patterned after the West Coast Salmon Troller. They were usually operated by a husband and wife, or father and son team, and were designed for ease of short-handed operation and extreme efficiency. They are narrower, more sharply pointed at the bow, and often "double-ended." They are slow, safe, and may have a very long range. This is considered a trans-Atlantic boat with a range of 2500 to 3000 miles between fuelings, depending on speed and generator usage. Above Deck: She is built mostly out of various woods, with a fiberglass outer layer. The interior has many different and interesting kinds of wood. The boat also has many features normally only found on larger boats. Many of these were able to be included in the boat only by sacrificing a dedicated guest cabin. She is a serious, capable look on the outside is carried through on the inside with a layout designed to provide comfort and safety at sea. This is no floating condo or marina queen, which is best left at the dock when the weather turns bad. Instead, from properly positioned handrails to heavy-duty door hinges and catches, every detail is carefully designed for safety at sea. Windows are extra heavy, tempered glass or Margard polycarbonate, and all window and door frames are built to withstand boarding seas. Non-skid decks with night lighting improve footing and movement around the outside, and rounded corners on furniture and cabinets inside reduce scrapes and bruises when the boat makes an unexpected movement. Wheelhouse: Her center of attraction is the wheelhouse, which has a real sense of purpose about it. Located where sea motion is minimized, its wrap-around windows and angled equipment console provide excellent visibility for operating the boat. This is the ship's command center, with all engine controls, DC electrical panels, navigation gear, and communications equipment installed in a logical, easy-to-use fashion. A raised settee provides the perfect spot behind the helm to keep watch while underway or anchored behind a distant island. There's a pilot berth behind the settee for those overnight passages, which also serves as an extra berth in port. Standing at the helm looking out across the bow in rising seas and knowing the trustworthiness of her diesel engine and how stout the hull gives us confidence that this is a vessel that will go just about anywhere. Below Deck: Although the seller designed and built the interior with the comfort of himself and one other as the primary design directive, he worked hard to incorporate features that will accommodate additional guests in comfort. Her interior is, at the same time, luxurious and functional. Going below and aft, the owner's stateroom with private head is spacious and comfortable. There is generous storage of clothing, supplies, maintenance items, and a large library of books and DVD/Blurays. Below decks forward, more of the innovative features of this yacht become apparent. A custom partial spiral staircase, executed in old-growth white oak, leads to the dinette that becomes an extra double berth and has storage beneath for emergency fresh water and supplies. On the port side is the Captain's office with a heavy maple desktop that doubles as a workbench. Here we also find the heart of the AC electrical system, with a Victron Inverter/Charger. The ship's computer is located here, and there is a 32" HDTV with Blu-Ray player in the computer. Below the exotic Brazilian Mesquite sole is the house bank of traction batteries, engine oil storage, root crop storage, and polished fuel tankage. Moving forward, we come to the ship's galley. Pelagic provides the conveniences of a home kitchen in a compact, efficient layout. She has a full-size refrigerator with an icemaker, a gas range with an oven, and a trash compactor. A durable granite countertop supports two individual deep sinks, one with a disposal and saltwater plumbing. There is a drawer type dishwasher and a microwave oven. Pelagic has a U-shaped galley with provisions for safety belting the cook in rough seas. On the starboard side, she has modern high-efficiency front loading washer and dryer. Above the washer and dryer is the main pantry area with several different types of storage. Forward of the pantry is a large vertical locker, that houses the microwave, towels and linens, and a slide-out shelf for large galley appliances such as a bread maker, Kitchen Aid Mixer, and the Belgium Waffle maker. All the way forward is the main head. Its features include an electric flush macerating toilet, a large tiled shower, and a generous vanity area. Designer tiles and wall treatments abound. There is 24-hour ventilation and an extra heater for cold mornings. The floor tile's focal point is a mosaic compass rose executed in travertine, black granite, and two varieties of marble. Recycled Parts The boat has four watertight compartments; The watertight dogged engine room door was salvaged off a 69' Gulf shrimper named "Captain Arthur". The stern mooring posts were cut from the salvaged Sampson post of a Gulf shrimper named "Connie and Deb". The Searchlights came off towboats, the Sampson post blocking to the stem from a freight elevator in Victoria, and the pilothouse flooring from a bowling alley lane in Corpus Christi, Texas. A searchlight front glass is made from a Pyrex pie plate. Green Built Every appliance is chosen based on electrical efficiency and low water usage. All lights except searchlights and navigation lights are either compact fluorescent or LED. Oil waste can be burned as fuel. There is a mast and sail to reduce fuel usage on long passages in the trades. The aft part of the boat is entirely manually operated plumbing. Waste heat from the engine is used for cold weather heating and hot water. Solar panels will keep the house bank topped off. Exotic Woods The woods used are also interesting. Southern Yellow Pine from Northern Louisiana, Douglas Fir from Oregon, White oak from Maine, Mahogany from Honduras, Ash from North Carolina, Sapele from Africa, Jatoba and Ipe from Brazil, Longleaf Pine salvaged from the Ayers Bowling Alley in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mesquite from Uvalde, Texas. Trivia There are over 7000 stainless steel Canadian made screws in the hull alone. 1500 bronze ring shank nails in the deck and roof structures. 90 gallons of epoxy and 70 gallons of tar are in it. The largest bolts are over 5 feet long and most of the bolts are custom machined. Total time spent building the boat is about 16,500 man-hours in 8 years. Specification Sheet: https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/b73396_f20ac8f38814447abed07fed09a39c97.pdf She has been published in the following mediums. - KRIS-TV, NBC affiliate, local Channel 6 - KIII-TV, ABC affiliate, local channel 3 - Passagemaker Magazine - Soundings Magazine - Southern Boating Magazine - Corpus Christi Caller Times Newspaper - Rockport Pilot Newspaper - Texas Maritime Museum Special Presentation - Rockport Center for the Arts. Tour of Homes, Special Feature "Reimagine the adage to be a boat is a hole in the water where you pour...dreams, creativity and talent" and you'll describe this beauty" Much more information upon request. **Seller Update Dec 27 2018: Simrad 4G Broadband Digital Radar is installed and fully functional now. New Simrad Chart Plotter and Navigation system is installed and up and running. Boat computer has been upgraded and a UPS added for further reliability. New antennas for secondary VHF and AIS system are installed. New steering cylinders are installed. Transom nameboards were removed and repainted. A bronze strainer has been added to forward airconditioning seawater intake to keep cabbage heads from getting sucked onto the thru-hull and restricting waterflow. Cosmetic hurricane damage to port side has been repaired and re-AwlGripped. All routine and deferred maintenance is completed (including a super good bottom job). Reason for selling is building a house - plenty of cruising time in!.

This vessel is in good condition for its age. As would be expected for such a yacht, there are always little projects to be done, but all of the big stuff is in good shape. The age of the sails is unknown but a local sailmaker inspected them recently and gave them a clean bill of health. The standing rigging is also of unknown age but is tight and shows no signs of deterioration or corrosion. Running rigging is of mixed age and has been replaced as necessary. Stock #253565 One of a kind Cuthbertson-designed custom aluminum racing sloop. This is one strong durable bluewater boat! Own a piece of sailing history! This vessel truly is a piece of sailing history. Custom built in 1968 from a design by George Cuthbertson, partner with George Cassian in Cuthbertson and Cassian, LTD, soon to be C&C Yachts in 1969. This vessel can be seen as the prototype for boats to come soon after. She was built for a Canadian sailing club. Under the IRC racing rules to which she was designed, a boat could only have a 30ft waterline, which she just fits into allowing her to race against smaller boats. However, when heeled over under full sail, this speedster dips almost all of her 43ft of length into the water, giving her a much longer waterline and a hull speed of 7-8kts. The generous aft cutaway not only kept her legal, but also made her a jewel in following seas, allowing her to surf down the front side of waves and achieve even greater speed without getting swamped from behind. Control for this vessel comes through a large wheel at the aft of the cockpit. Navigation is via a Raymarine GPS/Plotter. The mount and wiring for a radar dome are attached to the mast but that dome developed a crack and leak and has not been replaced. Course holding is provided by a Hydrovane system. The keel design of this boat is fairly unique. If you could flip her upside down she'd almost look like a dolphin. The keel is of a full design that ends just past midship where the reversing prop exits in front of a large rudder. The seller has the original drawings and sail plan. The cockpit of this vessel provides room for the skipper and several guests, complete with a dinette table for serving cocktails or lunch topside. Down below is a huge galley, saloon with two couches which convert to mid-berths, one L-shaped, and a fold-away dinette. Forward of the saloon is the head and the master stateroom. The head features a propane-fueled on-demand water heater for the shower, a sink, and a manual flush toilet. A quarter berth is at the aft of the cabin opposite the galley and behind the nav station. The flooring throughout the cabin is varnished full thickness teak and holly (not veneer) over aluminum floor supports. The floors are in amazing condition and the seller keeps them that way by keeping them covered with vinyl flooring material. There is a watermaker installed in the vessel. The construction of this vessel is 100% welded aluminum, approximately 1/4" thick for the hull, with aluminum stringers throughout. The entire deck is aluminum with all standing rigging hardware welded to the deck. The hull is coated with a faring coating to protect it from corrosion. The full bottom paint is approximately 2 years old with white topside paint and cream colored non-skid paint. The engine in this boat is a 45 horsepower Perkins 4.108. This engine recently replaced the original and came out of a British tank where it was used as a starting motor. As a result, while the hours are unknown, they are low. Reason for selling is not using enough.
