Very rare north sea fishing boat, this Starfish 8 is great for Maine waters

1970 Seaway Custom Motor Yacht
Seaway Boat Co in Long Beach by Bob Stapp who is very well known in the industry for there boat building expertise with Fiberglass over wood construction since 1958 to 2006. This 47 (55 LOA) foot vessel has a 17 foot beam. She is more spacious than some 60 foot vessels. As you walk into the main salon you will be amazed at the room you have. The large refinished windows provide plenty of outside sun making the vessel feel really comfortable. The full Galley is an up galley with a bar facing the salon. Moving forward from the large salon past the galley through a hallway, there is a Head to port with Vac-u-flush and sink. The master stateroom to starboard has plenty of space and storage with a full queen bed and walk around accommodations. The head also has Vac-u-flush and shower are just forward of the bed. Just forward from the hallway you have one very large quarter birth at window level and the v- berth down two steps has one single and a large twin.
Access to the Pilot House is up a spiral stars case just left of the galley. The Pilot House is very spacious with a 360 degree view. All the electronic have been serviced and working with seating behind the Captains chair. From both Port and Starboard sides of the Pilot House you has access to the Portuguese Bridge with another helm station. This vessel has five electronic throttle controls that allow for greater mobility getting in and out of her slip.

2017 Seaway 18 Sport
This is a 18 Center console seaway sport with a built in fuel tank. Powered by a 60hp Evinrude e-tec. This is the same hull as the sportsman however there is no liner in the boat. This gives the boat a more commercial feel and allows for more room at the bow with out the v-birth seating. It is a great boat with its sharp bow entry and low draft hull allowing the capt. the ability to go from the sea with chop to the shallow coves and estuary of the area while having a wonderfully comfortable ride throughout.

1985 Seaway Lobster Boat
The Seaway 23 is a downeast skeg style lobster boat made of hand laid fiber glass with a very robust hull. She has a rounded chine and only has a few degrees of rise at the stern (8 degrees if memory serves). It has a small cabin that could accommodate two "close" friends. She is built to handle an outboard from 70-115hp with a 25" shaft length. These boats are known for their seaworthiness and many are in service as commercial fishing boats in the New England region.
This particular boat has had its stringers replaced with Prisma foam composite stringers. The entire transom was replaced with Coosa board and the boats deck was replaced with Nidacore and 3 layers of 1808 fiberglass and polyester resin with a gelcoat. This will assure no issues with rot in the future. A new fuel tank was installed, a Moeller USCG approved 35 gallon plastic tank with USCG approved fuel lines.
