1980 Morgan 382
This popular Ted Brewer design is a great choice for serious offshore sailor or for the live aboard couple. Built to the highest standard by Morgan Yachts, with roomy interior and a performance hull design. The spacious interior is beautifully appointed and laid out to comfortably accommodate a family and all their gear. This rare beauty has the perfect blend of nice lines, high quality, wide sidedecks, lots of extras, and great condition. With her graceful lines, fine entry and heavier than average displacement, she sails as good as she looks. Her "performance cruiser" underbody (modified fin keel and skeg rudder) gives better tracking, stability and security in rough seas or high winds. The 50 hp Perkins provides ample power when needed, and the prop is fully protected behind the skeg. The deep forefoot and fine bow entry provide an amazingly soft ride when motoring into headseas.
1964 Aage Nielsen Sloop
Classic Aage Nielsen design #324, built in England in 1964. Ready to cruise, all equipment operable, complete winter cover.
Vari-Prop feathering propeller, Fresh water cooled Volvo engine.Although the name of Knud Aage Nielsen is arguably not as well known as his colleagues in the pantheon of great yacht designers of the twentieth century - Olin Stephens, Nathanael Greene Herreshoff, John G. Alden, and others it should be.
Nielsen devoted his life to boat design and construction, beginning with his youth in his native Denmark.
Nielsen's ability to build anything he designed gave him a unique relationship with accomplished builders -most notably Paul Luke in Maine and Aage Walsted in Denmark.
These fine craftsmen earned Nielsen's respect and were completely faithful to his finely detailed drawings.
His boats, all but a handful of which were custom-built under his direct and exacting supervision, remain highly prized by their owners today for their construction quality, sensible arrangements, comfortable accommodations, and, above all, their seaworthiness.
