1912 Alden Corinthian One-Design Cori 1 represents an opportunity to own a piece of sailing history.  This 1912 25ft Alden Corinthian One Design class sloop is believed to be the earliest know John G. Alden designed boat still actively sailing today. Cori 1 has been lovingly cared for and sailed each season since 1998 by her current owner.  Her hull has been West System Epoxy coated and finished with Awlgrip for a durable and useable finish with minimum annual maintenance required. She comes complete with an adjustable painted cradle/ trailer for easy transport. There are two sets of sails, outboard motor, motor bracket and additional equipment. She also has been upgraded to feature a 12 volt electrical system enabling use of a VHF radio and running lights.  Cori 1 is stored in an inside cold storage building and is confirmed ready for inspection.  Why pay $150,000 or more for a "new classic daysailer" when you can purchase a piece of "Sailing Art" and add your imprint on the impeccable history of this fine yacht.

1932 Alden Sloop/Cutter One of John Alden's finest designs was the Sloop-Cutter Design No. 531, for Mr. Ralph Forbes, of Boston, MA.   In 1932, Mr. Ralph E. Forbes of Boston, MA, commissioned the renown George Lawley and Sons to build S/Y Lark.  Ralph Emerson Forbes was the son of William Hathaway Forbes and Edith Emerson (daughter of Ralph Waldo Emerson).  The Forbes spent many years of memorable sailing with their family and notable guests out of Naushon Island.  This is a two owner yacht that has been sailed by the Forbes family for 50 years.  She is very capable at sea, racing and entertaining guests.  In 1972, Captain Eric Little (a master shipwright), purchased the S/Y Lark, sailing her every summer in the Elizabeth Islands, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, and cruising Cape Cod.  During the winters, Captain Little completed restorations including replacing a majority of the frames, floors, and planking.  George Lawley and Sons built hundreds of ships and yachts, most notably the yachts Puritan and Mayflower respective winners of the 1885 and 1886, America's Cup (and the fine sloop Lark). 1989 Alden 50 Prestige Yacht Sales is proud to represent Symphony, the stunning aft cockpit 1989 Alden 50. The Alden 50's are known for their "yacht like" good looks as well as being proven performance cruisers. Symphony is no exception. With her dark green hull, gold cove stripe, white boot top, varnished toe rail, white deck with contrasting non-skid Symphony does the 50 series proud in any harbor.  The profile of Symphony is only part of the story. The Alden craftsmanship is evident when you first step on board. The interior is satin cherry, with a teak and holly sole. Symphony's salon however is not like many of the other Alden 50’s. When the present owner purchased the boat (winter 2013), the starboard side had two barrel chairs with a fold up table between. Two built in seats/settees were fabricated by McMillen Yachts. (April 2013) making the salon on Symphony on par with any yacht of this size this broker has ever seen. In addition, to the new seats a new salon table was fabricated (the original is in storage), and new cushions were installed. "Symphony " is currently in her slip and being daysailed, she is likely the "prettiest girl on the dock". The tan canvas, bimini, two sets of cockpit cushions (2013), as well as the custom teak "surfing seats", complete look of this pedigree yacht.  Schedule a showing soon, there are not many pedigree sailboats in this size range to choose anymore.

1925 Alden Schooner Own a sailing legend! This classic John Alden Gaff-Rigged Schooner was built in 1925 and encapsulated in fiberglass in the 1990s. Beautiful, elegant, and perfect for cruising or charter. Venus was built in 1925 in Freeport, Maine. She is design number 253-B by John Alden, built by T.H. Soule. She was a fresh water sailor in the Michigan Lakes and made her way down to New Orleans then Pensacola, FL in the 1950’s. Her current owners purchased her in 2012 and have been living aboard and restoring her.  She is completely wood but has been C-Flexed (encapsulated in fiberglass) in the 90s. The current owners sailed her from Pensacola to FL Keys and then up to Saint Augustine, FL. She is currently hauled out at a local DIY boatyard. She is a solid and sturdy boat and is eager to be loved! "Venus" would make a great charter boat for romantic sunset cruises OR a great cruiser for someone with a love of classic schooners. She is pedigreed and full of character, with absolutely stunning lines.New bottom paint 6/16 Sanded and painted/varnished inside 5/16Deck was recently painted 2/16Outside woodwork sanded and varnished 6/16New hull paint Engine: 40hp diesel Westerbeke 4.107, rebuilt in 2013, with new fuel lines and filters 3/16  60 gallon diesel tank 11 sails (all in good

2006 1926 Alden Schooner This John Alden designed, Harvey Gammage built auxiliary gaff-rigged schooner is simply an amazing vessel... complete restoration done with style and knowledge. Pictures will speak for themselves. A true treasure. HALF MOON  is virtually a new boat.  It has a new cold molded hull which eliminates the risks and ongoing maintenance/cost issues associated with old wooden boats.   It has the unique distinction of being a new boat with state of the art electronics, navigation, systems and auxiliary, with a 1926 identity.John Alden had an alternate design for this production boat which was a Marconi rig. His specifications were used  when changing the main rig from gaff to Marconi. The present layout is a modified Alden layout for this design.  New ideas which were incorporated in to the design were the dual functioning doors in the head passageway area which allow for the ability to have a large shower/head area that flows from the port side to the starboard side.  In addition, the entire head area is clad in corian for easy cleaning and waterproofing.  Also, the butterfly hatch in the owners stateroom is removable and can be rotated so that it can function as an air scoop.  The forward hatch also functions in this manner.
