1985 CAL MK II
The Cal 35 is a great US-built classic dual purpose boat. If you choose to sail inshore or offshore, the Cal 35 is up to the task, and she has a nice turn of speed for club racing. Designed by Bill Lapworth, she is essentially a scaled down CAL 39 with improved windward performance. CALs were quite innovative for their day; they are some of the earliest examples of what have come to be known as performance cruisers--boats with moderate displacement, a longish waterline, fin keel and high efficiency rudder. The generous accommodations include a master stateroom forward that can be closed off from the main cabin for true privacy. It features an extra large V-berth with generous storage underneath, a large hanging locker and additional cabinet and drawer space. It is very airy with a large hatch overhead and two ports on each side. The full enclosed head with large separate shower is to starboard and it is a must for a true cruiser.
1981 CAL Sloop Pathfinder is a unique 1981 Cal 25mkII that has been repowered with a very reliable and strong upgraded engine...a Yanmar 2GM20. Also optional, she has a Max Prop for optimal performance under sail and power. When all is said and done, this Cal 25mkII is an ideal pocket cruiser capable of an endless amount of coastal cruising and island hopping in the Bahamas perhaps. With her autopilot available she is so easily singlehanded you'll daysail her as well as make longer passages.
