As you walk below, the aft cabin is a chart table work area, with a very large icebox. All electrical primarily 12V switches are on the aft bulkhead. This vessel is in overall above average condition for its age due to its recent refurbishment and refit. The previous owner did a full rebuild on the Perkins engine and there are only a handful of hours on it since refit. The three-blade prop is new as of May 2021. All rigging is in good condition. The mainsail is new as of May 2021. A recent inspection discovered water intrusion in the deck at the chain plates and in one side of the rudder. The water intrusion beneath one chain plate also appears in the bulkhead beneath it, which shows some delamination. There has also been found some delamination and wood rot near the rudder attachment point. The seller has reduced the list price of the boat to compensate. The surveyor reported that the boat is safe and usable, but that these items should be addressed sooner rather than later. Stock #246643 Well Upgraded 1979 Cal 39 MK II! Overall a well-maintained boat for the year. It needs a good cleaning and the pictures will show that. The front hinges on the anchor locker were repaired and re-fiberglassed. There is evidence of some leaking in the windows at one time, seller says it has to be a really good rain-almost sideways- to do that. No leaks topside or in the hull or anything. Sails are 3 years old, the battery is like new, the engine had power tilt. New sheets, halyards, and furling lines. Seller has receipt for purchase of sails in 2016 of over $2800. Stock #244501 24' Sloop Suzuki 9.9 HP 4 stroke w/electric start, remote control, power tilt! Sails are 4 years old! This two-owner sailboat has everything you need for single-handed sailing or spending time on the water as a couple or small family! All you need are life jackets and you have all the equipment for a great day on the water! The boat has always been used in fresh water for the last 30 years in Lake Michigan. The 1,175 lb ballast (4' keel) will help keep the boat stable, and the like-new sails will move her along swiftly. If calmer winds prevail then you have the Suzuki 9.9 4-stroke with power tilt to send you on your way. The seller has kept the sails, cushions, and engine in indoor storage in the off-season. There is a teak companionway door, teak cabin rails, and teak veneer in the cabin. The interior cabin is cozy as one would expect for a boat this size but there is a v-berth and more sleeping near the galley as the settee becomes a bed. Make an offer before this low-priced sloop gets away! Reason for selling is not using anymore.

1985 CAL MK II The Cal 35 is a great US-built classic dual purpose boat. If you choose to sail inshore or offshore, the Cal 35 is up to the task, and she has a nice turn of speed for club racing. Designed by Bill Lapworth, she is essentially a scaled down CAL 39 with improved windward performance. CALs were quite innovative for their day; they are some of the earliest examples of what have come to be known as performance cruisers--boats with moderate displacement, a longish waterline, fin keel and high efficiency rudder. The generous accommodations include a master stateroom forward that can be closed off from the main cabin for true privacy. It features an extra large V-berth with generous storage underneath, a large hanging locker and additional cabinet and drawer space. It is very airy with a large hatch overhead and two ports on each side. The full enclosed head with large separate shower is to starboard and it is a must for a true cruiser.
