The boat looks to be in great overall condition. The gelcoat was bright and clean. A wax job would make it shine nicely. The exterior canvas is in great condition as it was replaced in 2023.

The cabin was clean and had no smells. The cushions look nice with no wear and tear. The cabinets and galley look to be in good condition. The head was clean with no smells.

This 2005 25' Catalina 250 has everything for an easy day sailing and is ready to sail today. The boat is a great weekender for any beginner or experienced sailor looking to go to sea with friends and family. It is well equipped with a 2023 electric start Honda 9.9 HP 4-stroke outboard, newer tiller pilots, easy-to-fly sails and a 3' 5" draft able to go most anywhere there are shallow waters.
This vessel does not come with a trailer but can be trailered easily. There have been many new additions to the boat including cockpit cushions, Sunbrella bimini, dock lines, running rigging and recent bottom paint. This little cruiser is ready to go and will offer you lots of fun on the water.
Enter the salon from the center line companionway and down 3 steps and you will find the private head to port with marine toilet, sink, opening port and multiple storage areas. Moving forward are twin settee cushions surrounding the dinette table with lockers under and V-berth forward with an opening hatch. Moving aft to starboard find the galley with storage lockers, 1 burner propane stove top with cutting board cover and sink with hand pump followed by the electrical panel and the aft berth with access to the water ballast, battery, battery charger and holding tank.
The boat sleeps four, with the forward berth and roomy aft berth. The private head has a toilet and sink. The cabin feels surprisingly roomy for a 25' boat.

2008 Catalina 250 MK II Water Ballast
This easy to handle family cruiser sails well in shallow waters with retracted keel draft 2'8" and when extended 5 feet. The waterballast keel is a unique feature when lifting or trailering the water is draining out and when sailing the water drains into tank and act like a full fledged keel. "Sweet Dream" has been on a boat lift with new bottom paint in 2016. There comes no trailer with it but the Mast is easily collapsable for road trailering. The riggin has been overhauled (2016) with new lines and a Lazy Jack for the main sail to fall into a newly established canvas with easy zipper. The Jib is a roller furler all handled from the cockpit. The cockpit is wide easy for 4 people to sit on cushion and with 2 addition seats at the rear on either side. The cabin is an easy layout a forward V berth and two single berth port and starboard and finally a double berth under the cockpit. A seperate head room with a port a potti and sink. The kitchen counter with fresh water and sink and undercounter storage. The outboard is areliable automatic start Honda 9.9 HP overhauled in 2016. she is an easy to handle boat and great fun with family and friends

Located in the Washington DC area, this boat has a wing keel; tiller steering; roller-furling 150 genoa; 135 genoa; in-cabin swing (toward cockpit) mount for VHF, GPS, depth, etc. It has a (new) 2010 Yamaha OB 4-stroke engine; bimini cover, hatch cover, mainsail cover, cockpit cushions. It has a propane stove, SS sink/15 gal. water tank. Portable toilet in a separate compartment within the cabin. It is clean, well maintained. It has raced very well, sails easy, comfortable, and confident. Great family cruiser/racer.

Actual ConditionIt is reported that the boat has been in storage for 2 years and is currently shrink wrapped. The overall condition of the vessel appears serviceable. The interior is relatively clean. The cabin sole was in serviceable condition. The sails are stowed in the cabin with the boom. The vessel interior just needs a good cleaning after being in storage under shrink wrap. The vessel's topsides could not be photographed due to the shrink wrap coming to the waterline. The bottom of the vessel does not exhibit any damage and the dagger board is in the up position, which gives the vessel a relatively shallow draft.
Please inspect carefully before bidding.

EnginesThe 9.9 hp Honda 4 cycle outboard has some damage on the cover, the yard stated that when the vessel was placed in storage two years ago the carb on the motor had been serviced and ran fine.
