The classic wooden boat field is small and most everyone involved with these boats knows or at least is knowledgeable about every one else. When AIDA was sold the fact that the owner, seller, restorer, broker, and sail maker all had known each other, worked together, and mostly sailed together before was really fortunate. When and if you have this combination in your dealings you are one lucky person.
This is what I had when AIDA was last sold.. Now add to that one of N.G. Herreshoff's nicest sailing shoal draft boats ever designed and built, and you have a true historic masterpiece. This is AIDA, nothing more has to be said.

1964 Herreshoff Marlin
Built by Cape Cod Shipbuilding of solid fiberglass laminate, the Herreshoff Marlin is made to last forever.
This boat is sailed every summer. It is ripe for a full restoration, but is perfectly capable of providing years of pleasant day-sailing as is.
2001 Herreshoff Buzzard's Bay 25
Launched by Pease Boat Works of Chatham, Massachusetts in 2001, VAMOOSE is a marvelous reproduction of the famed Herreshoff Buzzard's Bay 25. The lengthened stern is a modification of the original design and allows for a standing backstay. The exceptional lines do not suffer from the small amount of stretch as the pictures here show.
VAMOOSE was given a fresh Awl Grip spray of gray in 2012 and is beautiful condition. Ready for the 2014 summer season.
