1985 HUTCHINS Compac Designed by Robert K. Johnson, the Com-Pac 19 offers berths for four with sitting headroom. There is a lot of storage beneath forepeak berth and also a discrete place for a head. There are bronze opening ports and a lavish use of wood trim below. On deck there are two hatches and more storage under seat lockers. The cockpit is self-bailing and has a compartment for the fuel tank. The rudder is aluminum and kicks up. The mast is hinged on deck for quick and easy rigging. Construction is hand-laid fiberglass with longitudinal and transverse stringers for stiffness. The deck is cored for rigidity and insulation. There is an optional 2011 6-horsepower Nissan four-stroke long shaft outboard that has very low hours. Trailer this boat home and save dollars.

Her seaworthy design mimics island packet yachts and has remained unchanged for 29 years. Her overall length with bowsprit is 29.5 FT, Beam is 9/5 FT, Draft is 3/5 FT and displacement is 6000 LBS. She has a 10HP Universal Diesel that runs well. She has a 50 gallon fresh water tank and 13 gallon Diesel tank. A fully enclosed head and shower with hot and cold pressurized water system. Two (2) large deck hatches and six (6) opening ports with two (2) dorades allow for a lot of ventilation. She was uhauled out and pained 10 years ago with no blistering and her rudder inspected. All looked perfect. This is a roomy boat that can sleep 4 comfortably but has capacity for 6. A 7 FT cockpit with large seat lockers provides outstanding storage and access to tankage, steering, and propeller shaft maintenance. Quality construction, materials and hardware provides above average quality and cruising comfort. Considering the age, the boat is in very good condition. I want to make a note that we just had the boat inspected on Friday, August 7th.
