1996 Mako 231 CENTER CONSOLE 1996 Mako 231. You will not find many clean and well maintained fishing boats like this one. A true turn key boat. Motor is a 2006 Yamaha 250 four stroke in impecable condition. Runs amazing, never an issue. Never went without a fresh water flush. Just had it's 100 hr service done. All previous ones were performed as well.This engine will go for ages. Hull is in great shape and gell coat still has a shine to it. All new uphosltery in showroom condition, including complete forward seating. Trim tabs, VHF radio, Garmin GPS. LEWMAR V 700 VERTICAL WINDLASS Boat was purchased new in Florida in 1989 It was kept in dry storage until 2007. During that time the hull was cleaned 2 or 3 times a year, depending on use. The hull was never painted until it was moved to Lake Erie. Hull has no significant scratches or dings. When the new transom was configured for the bracket and new motor the intended boat use was for salt water. Ballast bags in the forward compartments offset increased weight aft of center in fresh water. Bags are easily removed, filled or drained in minutes.some photos are available from before and after additions and alterations. 1988 Mako 231 Center Console - Repowered This 1998 Mako 231 Center Console, located in Stratford, CT, was repowered in 2010 with a 250 hp Evinrude E-TEC that is still under warranty. The Mako 231 has a great reputation for solid, tough build and the ability to handle offshore chop. This is a great fishing or family boat with a huge cockpit, high windshield, T-top, and plenty of dry storage. Fishermen will appreciate the two lift-out fish boxes, gunwale rod storage, 8 rod holders and large, stable platform. For the family, there's ample seating forward and with a concealed porta-potti under the spray hood. Add a couple of comfy folding deck chairs aft and you can accomodate a small crowd. The fish boxes make great coolers for drinks The 231 is known for its stable, dry ride so the spray hood may get much of its use as a shady refuge from the sun or rain. There's a small swim platform with a step and a stereo to keep all entertained. This is a nice, solid repowered classic Mako that is definitely worth a look at this price.
