1989 Caliber 33 Brokers Comment: "Traveller" has spent her life on the Great Lakes Fresh Water. She has had numerous upgrades. Below is an excerpt from a review by Naval Architect Jack Horner: The method of construction of the Caliber 33/35 is just about as good as can be found on a moderately priced, production fiberglass boat. The hull is constructed of solid fiberglass and resin laminate. There are substantial and closely spaced floors throughout the bilge and unlike many boats in this size and price range, Caliber does not use pre-fabricated fiberglass liners blindly secured in place with adhesive bonding materials. Instead, Caliber secures each bulkhead and joiner component with two to four layers of hand-laid fiberglass cloth and resin. Decks are constructed with plywood, rather than balsa wood, core and the deck-to-hull joint is sealed with a polyurethane adhesive and then bolted thorough an aluminum toe rail every 6" with 1/4" stainless steel carriage bolts. The bolts are fit into square holes in the toe rail so that tightening the nuts will not cause the bolts to turn and break the caulking seal. This creates a strong, solid structure and creaks and groans common to lesser boats when they are stressed are practically nonexistent with the Caliber. Some of the early Caliber 33 models did have some problems with bowsprits that failed under heavy load but this was latter corrected with a beefed-up structure. The accommodations on both the Caliber 33 and 35 are virtually identical. There is a V-berth cabin forward followed by a starboard head with integral shower. The main saloon, with 6' 3" headroom, features a full-length settee/berth along the port side, an L-shaped starboard settee and a table that folds up against the forward bulkhead. There is an efficient U-shaped galley aft to port and a starboard quarter berth cabin/navigation station with a bi-fold partition to close it off from the saloon. Auxiliary power is provided by a Yanmar, model 3GM, marine diesel engine that provides plenty of punch. My sea time on these boats is limited to several sea trials. However, owners I have spoken with are nearly unanimous in their praise of the boat & sailing characteristics. The Caliber 33 and 35 are both excellent choices for bay and coastal cruising and, with proper experience and crew, they are capable of offshore passages. The bottom line is these are well-built boats that offer excellent value and have maintained their resale value well over the years.

1994 Catalina 270 The current owners have enjoyed "Island Girl" for the last 2 years. She was their first boat. Their 2 little girls took to sailing and their growing family was ready for a larger boat. Note the many upgrades done prior to the 2015 launch. Manufacturer Provided Description:The Catalina 270 was designed to provide rewarding performance and comfortable accommodations for the active sailing family. Both goals are accomplished through the selection of a stable hull form with generous beam and fine entry forward. This approach delivers a hull that is wide at the sheer for maximum deck space, reserve buoyancy and good performance to weather. Semi-elliptical wing and fin keels are matched with a balanced elliptical rudder to insure predictable handling and a balanced helm in a variety of conditions. The rig has double spreaders with fore and aft lowers which make the mast very stable, easy to set up and tune. This design provides the narrow shroud base necessary for proper genoa sheeting to weather. The deck is highlighted by a "big boat" cockpit with Catalina's hallmark full-length cockpit seats with ergonomically contoured seat backs necessary for long term comfort aboard. In the cabin are all the amenities for weekend retreats and more extended family vacations. Comfortable seating around the varnished teak table provides a great place for meals, relaxing, reading or playing games. The galley is well-planned for the cook, with special attention given to usable storage, a large ice box, and flip up counter over the two-burner stove. The head is a single piece molded unit that is easy to keep clean and fresh. In the sole is a standard shower pan. By night the aft cabin is a private and comfortable retreat for two. The berth forward can be extended and enclosed for two, with the settees functioning well as single berths. To provide more time for owners to enjoy sailing the 270, low maintenance materials have been used on deck and mechanical systems have been designed for easy access for service. Quality materials and engineered structural systems carefully assembled promise the 270 to be durable, reliable and a pleasure to own for many years to come.

CANVAS INCLUDING ENCLOSURE, WINTER COVER, CUSTOM COCKPIT CUSHIONS PRICE REDUCEDAnxious Seller Broker’s Comment:Only sailed in Lake Erie’s freshwater, “Blake Erie” is a 3 - Cabin, 2 - Head layout commissioned by RCR Yachts at our Buffalo, NY marine and sailed to Erie, PA in May of 2010. She has been berthed at Erie Yacht Club ever since and has had professional care the majority of which was done by RCR Yachts. Her owners have a Florida residence and are planning on making that their full time home. Extremely well equipped for cruising and occasional club regattas she features a bow thruster, electric Harken winches, Full Raymarine electronics array including AIS, Ultra-suede salon upholstery, Custom mattress covers and custom plush cockpit cushions. Eagerly anticipated, the Beneteau 46 project brought together the talents of Naval architects Berret/Racoupeau and the design firm Nauta Design with Beneteau engineers to create a bold new generation of sailing yachts. “Classic” may be difficult to define, but the sleek forms, flowing lines, balance and proportion command second and thrid looks from even the most knowledgeable sailor, an examination that conforms the realization you are indeed, seeing and instant classic. Move to the cockpit and admire the deck plan; twin steering stations with all navigational instrumentation and sail controls at hand for quick access. Now imagine the feel of her helm; precise and more responsive with everything you need to make going faster – even more thrilling. The striking design of the 46’s interior was created by Nauta Design; strengthening Beneteau’s international reputation for a dramatic “below decks” vision that doesn’t demand a “Mega yacht” budget. A skillful blend of high performance principles, balanced lines and well-proportioned space makes the 46 feel much bigger than she really is. Adding to its elegance is the glow of rich Moabi hardwood joinery and stainless steel nuances to create the powerful appeal of this spacious luminous interior.

1984 Pacific Seacraft Orion 27 Seldom in the last 15 years at RCR Yachts have I seen a vessel so well maintained and upgraded. No detail was left undone by her owner to put "Dove" in a like new state. From Mechanical to Electrical, Fuel System & Engine, Brightwork, striping, Sails, rigging to interior wood work, cushions in salon & cockpit, she has had a complete refit from 2002 thru 2004. Her sellers various business and family interests have prevented him from using her as much as he wished. She has been stored indoors from 2002 thru 2012 and has had very light use. She has yet to be used a full season. (Maximum in our freshwater Lake Erie is 5-6 months at best anyway). She now has a Custom Winter Cover & Frame. She has had very light use. If you appreciate classic lines and want to have one of the finest and most practical cruising sailboats ever built, "Dove" could be the vessel for you. Her splendid design and robust construction provide the special king of performance and accommodations that the cruising life demands. From keel to masthead. From bowsprit to backstay. She reflects a single-minded dedication to perfection. Cruising performance: Performance as it relates to racing yachts, is easy to define; they must be fast. In this sense, the design parameters of a cruising yacht are somewhat more complex. Unlike a racer, it is imperative that a proper cruising yacht be able to provide comfortable passages for its crew. To do this it must have a kindly motion at sea and be well balanced under sail. After size, displacement and hull shape are the principle factors that affect motion. If displacement drops too low, the boat’s motion can cause considerable discomfort for her crew. Hull shape refers to the bow, stern and mid-ship section shape. In designing a racer, the designer may have to compromise these elements to conform to a particular set of rules. The Orion 27 Mark II was not designed to any such rules, so her hull form was not compromised. She has a traditional wineglass shaped mid-section, well known for producing a gentle motion while at sea, and capable of providing the kind of stability required for comfortable cruising. Balance is that coveted but elusive quality that makes a boat responsive under almost any condition. Simply put the crew does not have to fight the boat every yard of they way. When you are shorthanded and weary on a long passage a well balanced boat can make a world of difference. For the Orion 27 Mark II the benefits of modern full keel with cut-away forefoot, wineglass sections and well distributed beam result in a yacht of exceptional balance, responsiveness and speed.
