Boats for sale in Hawaii

This is very much a project vessel with several unknowns which might possibly only be identified through a professional survey. There is wood rot near the base of the main mast and the bow sprit. (In photos.) Teak decks have been removed and the current decking is rather soft-ish. The flooring below the deck is also soft-ish; laminate flooring over plywood. Several spots of wood rot in the overhead beams below deck. (In photos.) Plexiglass windows leak slightly in some places. Both standing rigging and running rigging will need full attention. The condition of the sails is fair to average. Hull condition is unknown. This vessel is due for a complete bottom job. The topside is mostly covered and used for storage. Stock #289955 Lots of Character Aboard this Classic Formosa Project Vessel! Lots of Space for an Affordable Liveaboard! This spacious and classic Formosa will make a decent, affordable liveaboard or a fun undertaking for a skilled and experienced project enthusiast. In the right hands, this classic beauty could be brought back to her former glory and become a real head-turner! The current owner is selling due to medical reasons and is not sure how many owners she's had. This vessel is not currently ready for near coastal, inter-island or any longer distance sailing. She is a PROJECT BOAT and priced to reflect this. BUC valuation in "poor condition" is $48,700 - 53,600. Please read the information on the condition section below for all known details. Along with a lot of impressive, original woodwork, one unique feature of this boat are the plexiglass windows throughout, which let in loads of natural light. Below deck, there is a spacious dinette to port along with a galley to starboard featuring a gimballed stove/oven, classic porcelain sink and countertop workspace. There is also a mini-fridge in the salon. A few steps below, the salon has two berths/settees along with a classic navigation station/work desk and ample storage. The bright and airy main cabin has a single berth as well as a dual entry head with marine toilet and shower. Forward of the main cabin, the V-berth is currently used as a workshop/storage space but could possibly be converted into an additional cabin. Per the owner, the Perkins is running and has only been used to go in and out of the marina. It sips fuel and uses about 1/4 gallon an hour. Reason for selling is health reasons.
Great condition throughout. According to the seller, there are no known issues and everything is in good working order other than the generator which is not working. She has an annual USCG auxiliary inspection to ensure all required safety equipment is on board. Please inquire for a free Boat History Report - it's all good! Please Note: An in-water survey, mechanical inspection and/or water trial are all available for this vessel but due to the distance, a haul-out survey will not be available. The master stateroom forward has a queen island bed and plenty of storage. The adjacent head has a Marine Air flushing toilet with macerator, shower, sink, vanity and mirror. In the open plan salon, you'll find a dinette and galley. The dinette does not currently convert into a double sleeper but an insert could easily be added. The futon-style settee pictured will not be included but could easily be replaced with a new one. The galley provides an under-counter fridge/freezers, a 2-burner stove top, microwave and double basin porcelain sink as well as ample counter and storage space. When not on the flybridge enjoying the view, you'll appreciate the lovely aft deck for evening cocktails and even working from 'home.' She also boasts all the creature comforts you'll need, including TWO 16,000 BTU air conditioners and a hot water heater. The 6.5kw gas generator is currently not working and the issue has not been diagnosed. The owner recommends removing the generator and using that large space under the aft deck for storage. It could easily be replaced by a portable and much more compact Honda-type generator. Navigational electronics are older and have rarely been used. A new buyer might want to upgrade them. She was last hauled in Feb 2020. Full bottom paint + all thru-hulls and seacocks changed. Please note: The current slip is NOT transferable. Active duty military, retirees and DOD employees should call Rainbow Marina to find out if they are eligible to get a slip or if there is a waiting list. There are most likely slips available at Keehi Marine Center or Keehi Small Boat Harbor. Please give them a call to find out their current rates and availability. This boat can only be shown to buyers who have a slip lined up. Reason for selling is moving to shore.
This vessel is in fair to average condition for her age and usage. According to the seller, everything is in good working condition with no known issues. I have not yet had the opportunity to hear the engines run or electronics turned on. This vessel is due for a full bottom job. The interior living area is somewhat worn and could benefit from a refurbishment: -- The carpeting will need to be replaced throughout. -- The valances are stained and could be removed completely to give the cabin a sleeker look. -- Some drawers are missing in the galley. -- Leather dinette upholstery is good. Leather sofa upholstery is more worn but still perfectly functional. Please inquire for a FREE Boat History Report.
