The hull was sanded and painted in the summer of 2022. There are a couple of spots where paint could be refreshed on the top deck. The teak railing was redone with polyurethane spring 2023 Stored inside in the winter and professionally cleaned and tuned up each year. All mechanical maintenance is done professionally. These powerboats are built by Chris-Craft, one of the most well-known names in boating. Chris-Craft Commander 31 boats are typically used for overnight cruising and saltwater fishing. The large open back deck serves well to easily provide space for 4 to 6 for fishing or entertaining. The cabin has a V-berth forward that sleeps two comfortably. The owner reports the varnished mahogany hull and interior to be in very good overall condition. It could use some minor detailing to get into pristine / bristol condition. The owner purchased it way back in 1967 and has kept it in his family ever since. An extensive overhaul / restoration was completed in the late 1990s. In 1992 they installed a Chevy 4.0L V6 engine (190 HP) The original engine was only 130 HP. Always stored on a trailer in a garage when not in use. The 17 Deluxe model is a famous one. It has 2 bench seats front and back, similar to classic cars. Seating for up to 6 to 7 people. With the boat only weighing 1805 lbs, the 190 HP engine makes this beauty glide on top of the water. Look at the stainless steel...All original including the badge in the front and not even PITTED! Very Rare. She was well taken care of. Engines were just rebuilt with about 30 minutes on them for water testing. BRAND NEW Bottom Paint! She has lived on the Lakes of Texas, Her entire Life with only 2 owners..The second owner from the lakes of New Mexico. She's just Stunning. The cushions are like new and so are the Curtains. The Twin 350QL Chevy engines have been completely rebuilt Bored .30 Over, with not even 30 minutes on them The Paragon Transmissions were also rebuilt. She has a lot of Horse power! She has New closed cooling systems ready for installation. SHe runs great! She even has an Has a BRAND NEW STORM CAT GENERATOR! 900 peak power Never used, Still in Box and great for camping out.
