1971 Chris Craft 38 Commander This is truly a rare find.  This boat shows as new outside and inside.  It has always been used on fresh water and kept in a covered boat slip.  The boat is powered by two Chris Craft 427 Ford engines with 350 h.p. each.  There is only 550 hours on both engines.  This boat comes with hydraulic trim tabs, a vhf radio with antenna, a depth indicator, and a tv with dvd player.  The galley has a sink, cook top, oven, new convection micro wave oven, a two door upright refrigerator, and hot and cold pressure water system.  There is a nice large head with enclosed shower and new vacu flush head.  The boat has a holding tank for black water.  There is a new flex steel sofa in the salon, new salon drapes, reostat lighting, new cushions for the dinette, new full bed in bow of boat vs two singles, and beautiful wood work thru out.  There are two factor installed heating and a/c systems and also a roof air.  There is a 7.5 Kohler generator which was recently rebuilt.  The boat comes with a compass, two spotlights and a fire extinguisher.  There is no canvas to mess with as the salon and drive station are enclosed.  The boat is white and has a new bottom job two years ago.  You must view this boat to see how beautiful it really is.  $ 39,900

1969 Chris-Craft Commander Boat is located in Lake of the Ozarks,Missouri. Please contact the owner @ 314-503-seven zero nine seven or byansen17(at)gmail(dot)com...The 1969 Chris Craft 42 Commander has classic style that is still copied today. Here is your chance to own an original MacKerer design at a fraction of the cost of new. All original and all working, twin 427's -- 300 hp each, hard top, open salon, full galley, and two private staterooms provide room for family and friends. The Chris Craft Commander line represents the first fiberglass cruiser series built by Chris Craft, commencing with the first 38' Express designed and built in secret, and shipped to the 1964 New York Boat Show under wraps for what was a truly stunning unveiling. Fred Hudson, working in conjunction with Chris Craft's Senior Vice President, A.W. "Bill" MacKerer, designed the first 38' Commander Express. In subsequent years there were many more models of the Commander penned by Dick Avery, all of which have nearly flawless proportion and great attention to detail. The Commanders created a boating style of their own, flawless proportions, logical function, and the feeling of solid value. When you saw one (and see one today) you immediately think "Chris Craft". They are known by marine surveyors, collectors, and boating enthusiast's world-wide as "the standard" for fiberglass boat construction." This is by far the cleanest 1969 boat on the market. I am the fourth owner of this beautiful vessel. One owner for 40 years, formerly named "Andon" and kept on a hoist in a boathouse in Michigan a good majority of her life. I bought it there and transported it to Lake of the Ozarks Missouri in June 2013. The boat was completely original and is stunning to look at. I have not renamed her, but she is a freshwater only vessel, and has never spent a winter in the water until this year. The vessel is wonderful but I am forced to sell. Currently she is stored at a marina at The Lake of the Ozark. All maintenance records, original books, invoice sheets and checklist from factory, and several other manual are available. This boat is a must see!! Make: Chris-Craft Model: Commander Length: 42 Dealer: BoatsFSBO.com ID: 245711 Ad provided by BoatingBay
