2010 Yamaha SX240 High Output Bought new in 2011 this boat has only been in fresh water. Originally used in Lake Superior was stored inside for three years until moved to Mississippi last year. Very low running hours in the 40's, was serviced last fall. Original owner, has dual batteries with Blue Seas system, upgraded winch. These boats easily carry eight people and have a small enclosed head, movable dining table, ice chest storage and huge over-all storage areas. Set up for skiing, there is lots of room for skis and wakeboards. With the open bow and multiple configurations for lounging or sunbathing it is a great party boat and has lots of room for fishing as well. Also you only need 12" of water to float and can get to areas boats with outdrives can not reach. The enclosed head is a great feature for privacy and changing and greatly entends the time you can spend on the water. Includes tandem axle trailer, bikini canvas top, factory cover, removable carpets and full fiberglass liner. Twin 1.8 litre jet drive motors with 180 hp each, this boat runs 55 mph easily lightly loaded and like all jets, accelerates much faster than prop drives. Easy access to the impellers from the top. 50 gallon tank uses regular gas and is good for a couple days on the water. Has full GPS instrumentation, depth finder, cruise control, CD/FM. This is a big, safe boat with high freeboard but has great access to the water from the huge swim platform and ladders front and rear. With the swing away front hitch on the trailer it can fit in a 24' long garage with a standard door! Towing weight is around 5000#, perfect for a half ton truck. Compare to new for $50K plus, this boat is like new and handling the jets just takes a little practice if you are coming from a prop boat, it is more like and inboard than anything else, original operating DVD included. I can say the previous owner hardly used it and we have only put about 150 hours on it. this boat came from Michigan where you only get couple months of good weather so I would estimate probably only around 300 to 400 hours on it which is pretty low. The seats are fading and could use re-upholstery but the actual cushions are fine. has a nice Bimini top in really good condition only used when the boat was anchored. Mechanically the boat runs great and starts right up every time. Last time we check compression it was at 110 which is amazing for any used boat one year old or 20! Has auto bilge pump, dual battery system with onboard charger, having twin 135hp engines this boat has awesome power. I'm 200 pounds and pulls me out of the water wakeboarding without a problem. we easily would throw two tubes on the back and had no problem. it has a wakeboard tower with wakeboard racks pre drilled for tower speakers and lights. has a new Kenwood radio with all the hook ups. (cd,aux,fm,am,ipod) with polk audio speakers. Has a large color matching swim platform with three step fold down ladder. also has uprgraded hyfro turf which is a $500 upgrade. The boat has a 40 gal fuel tank comes with matching blue trailer with new L.E.D trailer lights. tires in good condition. The company was founded in 1926 at 333 W Becher Street in Milwaukee, WI by two brothers James and William Welch who had a knack for building wooden plank hulls that were designed for speed. In 1928 the company was moved to Manistee, Michigan where it operated for the next sixty years. In 1930 its Century Hurricane held the world speedboat record of 50.93 miles per hour. By 1937 the company offered 28 models of boats to choose from. The 1940s brought about World War II and the firm received a contract and delivered 3,600 vessels receiving the Army-Navy E Award for excellence in production material. The company had 343 authorized dealers by 1950 and used the slogan "The Thoroughbred of Boats". In the 1960s Century introduced 45' motor yachts and jet-powered boats; in 1967 the last wooden boat rolled out of the Manistee Facility in favor of fiberglass. 1970 proved to be the greatest decade for the company; it even had a fleet of white tractor trailers that moved them from Manistee across the country to its dealerships. In 1983 it opened a production facility in Panama City, FL.
