Up for sale is a 17' 1989 Avanti 170 DLI boat powered by a I/O 3.0L Mercruiser. This boat has been handed down from my grandparents, to my parents, and to myself. Has been cared for its entire life. Winterized and oil changed every season. Stored inside when not on the water with the cover on. This is a great starter boat. The Mercruiser engine can be somewhat tricky to get started sometimes, but it always fires and I've never had a problem with it running. Prop is 3 years old. New captains chair was installed 2 years ago. Stereo head unit and 4 speakers were installed 2 years ago. All the wiring was done by myself, the system sounds very nice. New battery has maybe 10 hours on it. The interior is in good shape. I replaced the wood on the back 2 seats when the captains chair was installed. The wood in the bow needs replacing. The winch strap on the trailer was replaced at the end of the season. Only 700 miles on both trailer tires. Brand new tire on spare. Overall, this is a very nice boat for its age. I learned how to ski and wakeboard behind this boat when I was a kid. It would be a great family/starter boat. If you need storage I can transfer my storage unit lease to you at Somerville.

Mechanic owed and maintained. I bought the boat with some engine issues 4 years ago, then rebuilt whole motor and it has been meticulously maintained since.Hull is a 19 ft 85 ski centurion with 566 hours on it. Floor and stringers are solid. Wrap is 5 yrs old and is not perfect, theres scratches. Engine - 75 hours on it - 351 Ford, .20 over, very mild cam work for increased torque (boat pulls crazy hard out of the hole). Each cylinder is between 150 and 155 psi. All main wiring was replaced with the motor - all double zero gauge. 2 newer batteries also. (dual switch)Trans: 1:1 direct drive with 566 hours on it (those things are bulletproof anyways)Stereo: 2 amps, 10 inch sub, infinity tower speakers. You can hear the tunes clear as day when youre being pulled.Interior: Half is recently redone, but its still a 7/10. If the interior was perfect the boat would be worth a lot more. Trailer - newer tires with lifetime warranties. Trailer is ugly but is in good shape.Boat puts off a decent wake if you have a few people in it. I have always boarded with it, and I have the appropriate acme prop on it for it, but will include the stock prop (better for 100% skiing)Any questions please call text or email. 734 320 3851. I purchased for restoration to go water skiing. Within the past year I have gotten arthritis (left hand) to the point that water skiing is now a memory. The boat was rebuilt as though I was keeping it. Here it goes. Rebuilt Chevy 350 (approx 325 hp) Roller Tip Rockers, Ported & Polished Heads. Comp Cams RV Cam, 750 cfm dual feed Holly dominator carb, Billet Value Covers, Billet Air Cleaner, Mallory Marine Dist., Single Plane Alum. Intake, Holley Elec. Fuel Pump, Billet Cam Cover, 8mm Wires, Billet Chromed Steel Thermostat, all new hoses, exhaust hose, Billet Fuel Log, Tow Ring, Oil Change Valve, Adjustable Temp Valve, Motorola Marine Alternator, Billet Pullley, Etc. Berkley Pump received a full rebuild, wear ring, seals,gaskets, impeller, etc. New control cables, steering wheel, full gauges, good stringers, clean gas tank, new bilge pump. All hardware replaced done in stainless steel. Hull does have scratches, but very nice for age. Existing DVD stereo with new 2-6", 2 - 6x9 Clarion speakers, new blue boat cover, removable stern light. Trailer outfitted with LED side/back marker lights, bearing buddy, re-packed bearings, new tires, real steel belted, not Walmart trailer tires, near new spare, new crank jack, new boat crank, new hitch hardware. Get the picture? Needs: New bow light, some gauges hooked up. Interior shows well but is 39 years old. Engine/Pump have 10 hours since rebuild!! Winterized with fogging oil, block drained. Were the second owner of this low hour number matching numbers Correct Craft 17 foot Mustang. It has a Mercury Model 198 or a 305 Inboard Motor 2 barrel. It spent its entire life running on Lake Geneva Wisconsin only to be brought up north in 2001. The Eagle Trailer (included) has had very little use in fact maybe 500 miles. Trailer Tires and Spare are brand new this year. Boat runs and drives great with plenty of to pull doubles all day long. Comes with extra prop with different pitch if speed is more of an interest than torque. Also included are Ski's, Knee Board and Pull Ropes. Sounds like the true old classic wood classic inboard boats of the past, Completely awesome! Selling due to family now wants to move onto a Pontoon Boat for local lake enjoyment. The PerfectPass speed control acts similar to cruise control in a car. To use it, you use the menu and up/down buttons (while stopped) to enter the desired speed. Then you just drive the boat normally. It senses when the boat approaches the set speed, then automatically takes over to add or take away throttle as needed to very accurately maintain the set speed. To disengage, you simply pull the throttle back as you normally would to slow down, and the unit senses that and immediately disengages giving full control back to the driver. It really is a safe and excellent system that cost over $1000 when it was installed. Mechanically this boat is in excellent shape, but her age shows in the gelcoat. It is structurally sound, but cosmetically quite faded. A good buffing will do her good. The interior vinyl has been replaced and is in good shape, but the floor carpet is tired. I've owned this boat for about 20yrs and with it grew from a weekend skier to a competitive slalom course skier. It's been meticulously maintained (mechanically) and always reliable. My ski days are behind me now, so it's time to let her go.
