The overall condition of the vessel is good for her age. Hull gel coat and decks were clean and in good condition. A few scrapes detected port side hull. Upholstery was found to be in good condition with no rips, tears or stitching issues found. Stock #262801 Many recent upgrades, Yanmar diesel engine, shoal draft with dagger board The 1986 Pearson 36-2 has been taken care of, has a great layout with accommodations to be enjoyed while away from the dock, and is ready to sail. The cockpit has a lot of room for captain and crew with bench seating. The Edison wheel has a compass and Garmin GPSMap integrated. Below decks, you'll find a very friendly and well laid out floor plan. To the right of the steps leading below is the galley that features a double stainless-steel sink, a cold plate, a microwave, a gimble mounted stove/oven combination, and storage cabinets and drawers. To the left of the entry steps is the Nav Station. The station holds the VHF, Nav station light, the electric panel, stereo, thermostat for the air conditioning, and the ALpha 3000 Autopilot controls. The V-berth has a solid door for privacy, hanging locker starboard, cabinet storage to port, opening portholes, lighting, 110-volt outlet, and a fan. The Nav Station tabletop opens to reveal additional storage. There is also additional cabinet and drawer storage associated with the Nav Station. To port, aft is the enclosed head. A manual flush toilet, sink with wand faucet that can be used to create a shower, medicine cabinet and cabinet storage can be found in the enclosed head. An aft double berth is located starboard. A porthole that can be opened to allow fresh air in also allows natural light. The storage cabinet in the aft berth has been used to house the professionally installed air conditioning system. A sofa with overhead cabinet storage and drawer storage next to it is located forward of the Nav Station starboard. A large U-shaped lounge with a table that can be converted to a double berth is located opposite the sofa. There is also overhead storage and storage in the lounge seat base.

This Catalina 30 MKII Tall Rig has had a home dock on Lake Michigan since at least 2003. The boat made a recent voyage across 'Lake Mich' to her current berth in Muskegan and is a great sailing vessel. Updated in 2021 and 2022: Replaced bimini topper, backstay, deck lighting and wiring, starter and wiring for starting system, main and jib halyards, furling line, and added a new chartplotter. The hull was painted in 2020 and is serviceable, the deck is firm and the surface is shiny. The wooden brightwork needs a seasonal surfacing. There is no evidence of water infiltration around portholes or through bolts. The Engine was replaced with a rebuilt Kubota M12 in August 2018. The overall condition of the Catalina 30 is described by the owner to be very good. The hull gel coat is clean and in good shape being detailed annually. The upholstery is in good condition. The upholstery was redone in the 2018-19 season. The engine runs great and was rebuilt in 2017 with low hours. Sails are in good condition having been reconditioned in 2019, the owner confirms. The 1986 Catalina 30 Tall Rig was designed to provide space and accommodations for a weekend cruise or a day sail. Boasting a long waterline with a wide beam the boat feels big above and below deck. The U-shaped galley is out of the traffic flow and offers plenty of function to prepare meals. The salon area offers a large dinette. The cockpit has U-shaped bench seating running from starboard to aft and to port. There are recenlty upholstered cockpit cushions including a raised helmsman seat for comfort. Beneath the starboard and aft bench is a hatch to storage areas. A pedestal steering column with a fold-down cockpit table is provided. The pedestal features beverage holders. There is a center mounted compass. Mounted at the helm are a Raymarine speed and DataMarine depth indicators. A Raymarine autopilot control is mounted next to the engine / temp gauges. On the face of the port bench seat are the throttle / shift, ignition, engine temp, fuel and volt gauges as well as a 12-volt accessory plug. The cockpit is self-bailing with an emergency manual bilge pump. The double-wide companionway provides access below decks as well as great ventilation. After descending the wooden stairs, the galley is to the immediate port. The U-shaped galley is out of the traffic flow but positioned close to the salon dinette. The galley features a gas three-burner stove and oven, double stainless-steel sink, mica countertops, icebox, shelve, drawer, and cabinet storage. Across from the galley is a navigation station. The Nav station is equipped with direct light, VHF, shelving, cabinet storage, the AC main breaker, and the battery switch. Forward of the galley is the L-shaped settee with a table that can be converted into a double berth. Behind the seatback are storage areas with shelving and portholes above. The enclosed head has a bi-fold wood door, sink with faucet, manual flush toilet, mirror, molded shower pan, opening porthole for natural light / ventilation, and cabinet storage. The double V-berth contains storage beneath the base and lighting. In the companionway, there is a chest with drawers and a hanging locker for clothes and personal items. Additional sleeping is provided via the double quarter berth located behind the NAV station. A Universal M25 diesel engine provides propulsion when not under sail. The engine can be accessed via the top of the L-shaped lounge in the salon, front and back hatches providing excellent serviceability.
