Every effort has been made to accurately describe this vessel. However, it is a 44 year old sailing vessel and your buying decision should be solely based on your own experience and expertise or that of a qualified marine surveyor. Stock #307204 Most of the Work Is Done!! Lots of Upgrades and Improvements!! Tune the Rigging and Sail Away!! Are you looking for a spacious liveaboard that can easily sleep 5-6 people comfortably? This 1980 Formosa Spindrift 44 is your answer. The current owner searched for over three years to find this specific make/model. Since owning it he has worked tirelessly 6 years to restore and upgrade her. Unfortunately, although much of the work is done, his health prevents him from finishing the task. She is cutter rigged with the furling forestay on the bowsprit and a staysail boom. The sail inventory includes a mainsail and roller furling jib that has not been used since they came out of the sail shop after being restitched/reconditioned. There is also a hank on staysail that appears to be in serviceable condition. Having the standing rigging checked and R&Rd by a certified rigger is still on the "To Do" list. All the running rigging is new, with the exception of a couple of lines, and the new line is on a spool below to complete those. Ground tackle includes a new Vulcan 25KG with 300' of 3/8 BB chain. There is also a 60# CQR with 20' chain and 1" rode (total rode unknown). There is a Maxwell horizontal windlass with chain gypsy and rode drum. Electric power, in addition to shore power, is provided by two (2) Solarever Photovoltaic 315W panels flowing through an Outback Flexmax controller and feeding four (4) 100Ah AGM batteries. Additionally, there are two (2) Duracell SL34 MAGM batteries and two (2) flooded lead acid batteries (motor start). Navigation and communication equipment were all replaced in March of 2021 and all connected via a NEMA 200 backbone. These include Garmin Autopilot, chartplotter, and radar. There is also a Standard Horizon 25W Matrix VHF and a Standard Horizon Eclipse GX1400 VHF. All equipment boxes and documentation are still on board. There is also a Pro Mariner ProSport 12 battery charger and a Schumacher 2000W power converter. When not under sail power is provided by a Ford Lehman 80HP diesel engine pushing a Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission. With the 300 gal fuel the range of this vessel is significant. The engine has a new water pump, fuel pump, starter, alternator, and damper plate. The heat exchanger and oil cooler have been cleaned and serviced and there is a new fuel polishing system installed. Below the boat is very spacious. The galley has a double well stainless steel sink, a Force 10 stove/oven, and a microwave. The original refrigerator/freezer space is being currently used for storage, although the refrigeration unit is still there, and there is a stand-alone refrigerator and a stand-alone freezer. There is a Dickinson heater (diesel) and a residential window air conditioner that is easily removed. There is space to sleep 5-6, and 2 heads. Currently, the aft head is being used for storage. There is a considerable amount of storage. Outside, the bottom and the hull above the water line were painted about two years ago and are in good condition. The top deck is wide open with wires leading to turn buckles anchored to outward chainplates. The top deck appears to be in good condition with no "soft spots" noted. However, it is due for a paint job and all of the brightwork needs to be oiled. If your looking for a full-time live aboard, or just a comfortable, stable cruiser, this full keel 1980 Formosa Spindrift 44 could be just the boat you're searching for. Living your sailing dreams is in reach. Don't miss this opportunity!! Reason for selling is health issues.

Aside from the obvious cosmetic issues, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 appears to be in pretty decent mechanical and operational condition. Please note, however, that there is some evidence of water intrusion on the bulkhead between the salon and the head on the port side. The seller states "...seems to be from the chain plates. It will occasionally leak a little with heavy rain. It has not been remedied". It is recommended that buyers rely only on their own experience/expertise or that of a qualified marine surveyor when making their purchase decision. Stock #276217 Lots of Boat for the Money!! Ready For the Next Adventure!! Includes a Suzuki 6 HP 4-Stroke OB!! There may not be a better deal on a sailboat anywhere else on the web. Aside from needing a paint job, this 1979 C&C Encounter 26 is in great shape for its age. This Encounter 26 is similar to the original C&C 26, however with a shorter keel, shorter rig, and a heavier displacement. This makes this sloop a great rig for running over to the Bahamas...and this one knows the way! It's made the trip many times. Below there is a good-sized salon with a folding table, a head forward of the salon, and a V-berth in the peak. The galley has an Origo 2-burner stainless steel unpressurized alcohol stove, a stainless steel sink with both fresh and raw water pumps, and a new Frigo 12V refrigerator. Above there is a fully-battened loose-footed main, a Harken main traveler, and a boom with end-boom sheeting, all new in 2020. This allowed the traveler to be moved from the companionway to the aft end of the cockpit. This change permitted the installation of a new continuous Dodger/Bimini in 2020. There is also a mainsail cover, new in 2020. Additionally, there is a 110% jib with Selden roller furler, a Gennaker, and a storm trysail. Also, since 2020, there is a new boom vang, and all new sheets and halyards with professionally spliced whipped ends and reeving loops. The halyards are all run to the cockpit with new rope clutches. Ground tackle includes a Rocna 10kg (22#) anchor with 170' of 5/16 HT chain and a Fortress 7 anchor with 30' of chain and 150' of rode. These are managed by a manual Lofrans windlass. Electric generation/storage include 280 watts of solar panels with Bluetooth controller, 3 recent lead acid Group 9 batteries and a recent lead acid starting battery, a recent Guest 2 bank battery charger, and new DC panels. There is also a 30 amp shore power with cord and a 50 amp-30 amp converter. Navigation aids include a Garmin Echomap UHD 94sv 9" plotter/sonar with an external transducer mounted on the hull, a Garmin wind indicator, a Ritchie 6" compass, a Raymarine ST2000+ tiller pilot, and a Standard Horizon GX2000 VHF radio with AIS & DSC, all new in 2020. There is also a Boss stereo and a masthead LED tricolor/anchor light, both added in 2020. When the boat is not under sail it is powered by a Yanmar 8HP single-cylinder diesel engine. The engine starts and runs good, but it is believed to be original and the hours are unknown. There's a lot of capable sailboat here for the money. Don't wait...it won't last long!! Reason for selling is going bigger.
