The listing broker was very impressed with the condition of this vessel for it being a 1998. The hull was in very good condition. Bottom paint was all recently touched up and looks to be in good condition. The seller reports the boat is running great and ready for the next owner. The seller has service records that go back to the previous owners as well. This vessel is powered by a 1998 Yamaha 2 Stroke OX66 model engine. Grady White comes with years of quality and are known for their ability for a stable ride. This 228 Seafarer can check a lot of boxes for the avid fisherman, the family that wants to enjoy the water, or even the owner that wants to take sunset cruises. This vessel has the forward cuddy with v-berth, small freshwater sink, and porta-potty. Perfect for taking a nap, avoiding nasty weather, or using the restroom when out on the water all day. There is plenty o room for 4 adults to fish from the rear deck and stern. This area also allows for that record catch to be hauled in. The rear deck can also fit four deck chairs when wanting to cruise the waterways, when running off-shore this space can also fit marine bean bags to soften the ride. Nice size swim platform as well. Although this is 3rd owner vessel, the current owner has all the original books and also a folder full of the service history. Reference the trailer the current owner had completely re-built by a very reputable trailer company in Charleston in 2018. The seller also in 2021 had the trim motor replaced, the complete switch panel and wiring redone. (shown in pictures) Recently added Lowrance unit and marine radio onboard. The Yamaha gauge shows around 203 hours, the seller believes that was somehow reset prior to him purchasing, unknown total hours on the engine. This Grady-White has been kept in a garage and well taken care of. It has a 2017 Evinrude 175 HP engine with 65 hours on her. The initial service was performed at 64 hours. 1982 grady white- this boat has been kept under cover much of its life and the gel coat shows it. The boat is solid from transom to floor. It also has hydraulic steering. 2001 Grady-White Seafarer, Up for sale is an excellent example of a 2001 Grady White Seafarer. We are the second owners of this boat. It was purchased from Somers Point Marine in NJ in 2004 with 81 original hours. I am selling our 1986, 22' Grady White Seafarer. I will try to describe the boat to the best of my abilities. The boat is in great condition. The motor, gimbel and out drive were replaced in 2003. The radar arch and electronics were also updated then. The boat has a JRC Sonar color F/F, a Garmin F/F, a Garmin GPS/Chart plotter, a 21 mile Radar and VHF. I have all the manuals for the boat. This boat is absolutely turnkey. Both batteries are about 15 months old. I added this summer, rocket launchers and LED spreader lights. I have most of the seat cushions and all of the interior cushions. If you know boats, you will appreciate the condition of this boat. The fiberglass is in great condition with very few nicks. It does have a few spiderweb cracks but they are hard to find. There are ABSOLUTELY NO STRESS CRACKS. The boat is very dependable. We use the boat regularly and had it offshore out of Oregon Inlet 50 miles last summer. The boat is in the water in Rock Hall MD and is ready for a sea trial for the buyer. If you would rather I bring it to this area and have it on the trailer I would be more than happy to do that. The boat comes with a 2005 FiveStar full roller trailer that is in very good condition but the brakes on it do need to be bled. If you have looked at other boats, you will be more than happy with the condition of this boat. You will not be disappointed. You won't find another Grady at this price that is absolutely turnkey. The boat does need a few things, but can be used today. The water pump recently started making a noise, but I have a new one here and a new serpentine belt to go with it. I had the boat listed before, but the boat that I was going to buy, fell through. I decided then to wait until I purchased another boat, which we have, so I no longer need this one. The only reason we bought another boat was to get a bigger one.

I am selling my 1986 Grady White Seafarer. I purchased this boat from the second owner 2 years ago. The boat has been re-powered in 2003 with a new engine, out drive and gimble. In 2003, the radar arch was added and most of the electronics. The boat comes with a Garmin GPS Chart plotter, Garmin fish finder, JRC color sonar fish finder, Furuno 21 mile radar. and VHF. This year I added 6 rod holders on radar arch and LED spreader lights. Both batteries are 1 year old. If you have been around boats and have looked at other Grady Whites, you will appreciate the condition of this boat. There are no stress cracks, and only a couple gel coat cracks. My family and I use this boat every other weekend for fishing the Chesapeake Bay. We had this boat out of Oregon Inlet (NC) and off shore 55 miles. This boat is extremely dependable and fuel efficient. The boat has all of the original cushions that are in very good condition, except for a couple of the exterior seat cushions need new snaps. The boat also comes with a 2005 5 Star tandem axle trailer that is in very good condition. The only thing that the trailer needs is for the brakes to be bled. This boat is absolutely turn key and can be sea trialed by the buyer. We are only selling this boat so that we can purchase a larger boat.

This 2-owner boat is in excellent condition. It's been well maintained and is water-ready! Grady's are renowned for their quality construction and "fishability". Rebuilt 3 years ago 5.7 later Volvo Penta motor with less than 20 hours on it. New manifolds, battery and hoses. Volvo Penta drive with counter rotate props, one needs replacing. AM/FM radio, power trim, porta potty, folding canvas. Captain and mate seats need to be reattached to pedestals with new brackets. Interior cushions missing. Most exterior cushions intact, some need buttons replaced. Bolsters removed around inside of deck, but have been saved to be reupholstered. Trailer included, needs lights. Not recommended for highway use. Needs some cosmetics and odds and ends. Sold as is, no returns or negotiations.
