2010 Macgregor 26 Quick, stable and responsive, the revolutionary MacGregor 26 is the fastest and best handling of any of the trailerable cruising sailboats. It offers high-speed powering without compromising sailing performance. Have the peace and quiet of sailing, or the fun of powering around at a good clip over 24 mph. Its high-speed under power opens up cruising waters that are out of reach for a conventional sailboat. The MacGregor 26 is also trailerable making still more waterways accessible. The trailer also makes it possible to avoid the expense of permanent in-the-water storage. The weather-tight cabin offers full, standing headroom and comfortable accommodations for family cruising. On the starboard side is the fully enclosed head compartment. The galley - to port - has a sink, tile counter, and space for a 2-burner stove. There is a large storage cabinet below the galley and compartments designed for small items (plates, silverware, bottles, etc.) on its forward face.Five can be seated around the table. A foredeck hatch provides lots of ventilation. Notice the big windows. A full double berth is at the forward end of the cabin. The large dinette is raised for a view out of all the windows when seated. The table has a clear, protected inset for a chart of your sailing area. There are storage compartments under every seat and berth. For a boat of this size, there is an enormous amount of storage space. The table lowers to convert the dinette into a double berth. The front seat-back lifts out to create an uninterrupted sleeping area that is 13 ft. long. Unlike many boats, the mast post does not interfere with any of the berths. Looking from the forward end of the cabin, one can see the large entry - getting in and out of the cabin is easy. The removable step conceals the ballast tank filling valve. The head is to the left, and the big rear berth is directly below the cockpit. For ease of maintenance there is no visible wood on the boat. The cabin is carpeted and high quality fabrics are used throughout. There are several good spots for electronics. In the stern the rear berth is as large as a king-sized bed (7 ft. 7 in. x 6 ft. 3 in.) with full sitting headroom over a large area. There is a small storage area under this berth. The 26 will sleep six. The cockpit seats are over 6 feet long. The wheel steering is standard. The optional cushions provide extra comfort. The steering seat combines security with the convenience of a walkthrough transom. MacGregor developed the concept of a water ballast system. It has since been widely copied and is now the standard throughout the trailerable sailboat industry. This system makes it possible to have a very lightweight boat for powering and trailering, and the heavy stability necessary for safe sailing. After launching, the transom valve is opened and a tank in the bottom of the hull is gravity filled with 1400 lbs. of sea water. It takes about five minutes. The valve is then closed, trapping th

2005 Macgregor 26 At Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales, we are proud to offer one of the only, if not the only, Macgregor Sailboats that is fully decked out for life aboard and fun. This boat is 100% ready to go! You can pick her up with a less then 5 month old trailer and head straight for the water. This boat comes with many extras and spare parts for cruising. She also has some very nice system upgrades that are factory installed and run by solar power. The Macgregor has the best of both worlds to offer, she is a sailboat that has been proven to sail in as much as 50 knots of wind or if there is no wind, you can pull the water ballast plug and motor at speeds up to 25 knots! At 25 knots, you just turned this beauty into another type of fun. At these speeds, you could even start pulling water toys behind the boat for a fun family day out. This truly is one of the coolest boats around. Another key feature with this boat is her draft. She can get to those far out places that have very little water, that few people can take their boat, for some rest and relaxing and outback camping. She can pull up right onto the banks on a sandy beach and you have your home right there next to the camp fire. You don't even have to set up a tent! This is a fantastic all around boat for someone who loves adventure or loves having friends over hanging out in her roomy cockpit and spending the day sailing around. Don't miss out on this deal! She won't be sticking around long! For a video of this boat copy and paste this link online. There are many more videos of these boats doing amazing things.             https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smlP6iXnk2s

2006 Macgregor 26M                                T R U L Y    U N I Q U E     Motor Sailer Why a trailerable sailboat? On a trailer the boat can cruise to remote sailing areas at 55 mph to lakes, oceans, rivers or reservoirs wherever you can find a launching ramp and water deeper than 12 inches. These boats, even based in the local areas, are taken regularly long distances overland south in the winter or north  in  the summer to sail the northern lakes available to us and on the road she makes a great "CAMPER".  With the MACGREGORS ability to call on her big motor, she can, on demand, deliver you to a port or on to your next vruising area on her own bottom at speeds close to 20 miles per hour... Most sailboats must remain in an expensive slip all summer and be stored by the yard for the Winter With an easily launchable boat like the Macgregor 26 she can be returned to the water late in a season for some of the great Indian summer weather that we get here in the North East. Having her stored next to, or close to, your home, will let you look after her easily and "putter" at will. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this great boating concept that gives you the alternative lifestyles of  SAILING   and  MOTORBOATING  at a very affordable price and with ONE BOAT.

2000 Macgregor 26X She was designed by Roger MacGregor in 1995 and is considered a hybrid, shoal draft and trailer-able motor-sailer. This 2000 MacGregor 26X is the latest of the X series with stainless cleats and an upgraded auto venting ballast tank. She has a centerboard and twin rudders, just like many modern day high performance sailboats. The 2005 E-Tec 60 HP outboard is quite economical, very much like a four stroke.  Cruise in comfort with a spacious V berth forward, pressure water, an alcohol stove, and 6' of headroom in the galley. Pegasus has a cabin dining area, custom cockpit cushions, and an enclosed head with deck pump out. Roller furling genoa. Sails are in good order. Ideal shallow water family boat. Centerboard provides an additional 5' 6" draft for improved performance. Easy single-handed mast stepping. This is a water ballasted boat, great for light-weight trailering. She is overall in average condition for 16 years of use, as she has had some cosmetic touch ups in the deck and cockpit areas. Pegasus is ready to go! 2010 Macgregor 26M The Macgregor 26M is a trailerable coastal cruiser, powerboat, ski boat, party barge and floating home all wrapped into one hull. The obvious design compromises in a motorboat-sailboat hybrid have made many owners smile. The Macgregor 26 is a hybrid appealing primarily to trailersailors strapped for time and concerned about the rising cost of slip and mooring fees. At 26 feet it is simple to rig and sail, and just as easy to transport. Instead of chugging with the diesel at 4 knots, the Macgregor 26M speeds along at 22 mph. The boat was also able to explore quiet coves or nestle onto sandy beaches because its twin rudders and daggerboard that require only 12 inches water when retracted. This Macgregor 26M is a ONE OWNER BOAT. She was purchase NEW from the Factory in June of 2010. The boat is currently under the winter cover at the sellers home and is in need of a very good detailing. She is equipped with a lot of extra gear. 2000 Macgregor 26X 2000 MacGregor 26X26 ft. fiberglass trailer-able sail boat, with a Suzuki 60 4-stroke fuel injected outboard that runs very well. The boat is in overall very nice condition with some hull oxidation that could stand a good detail. The furling Genoa head-sail needs replacing, but the original jib is included and mainsail is mounted on the boom. The boat has not been sailed since 2006 so it is recommended that all lines be replaced, cable tensions checked, and outboard tuned up.The cabin is surprisingly large with queen size berth under the helm, small galley with sink and dinette, small head with port-a-potty, small side seating and small bow berth. The cockpit is decent sized and can hold 3-6 people depending on how you are sailing. The helm is a wheel and is easily reachable when healed over. The boom has been outfitted with a vang to help with mainsail shape especially in heavier winds. The boat has small Danforth anchor and anchor locker on bow. She was docked for a couple years in Alameda so the hull has some barnacle bases that need to cleaned off as can be seen in the photographs. New deep cycle batteries have been outfitted. The trailer single axle has been upgraded to handle more weight (6000 lb. axle) since the original trailer was designed for minimum weight, and once you had gear on board the trailer was overloaded. During the upgrade the brakes were upgraded to disc surge brakes, and the larger 15" wheels and tires are in good shape. The sale includes a Lowrance LMS-332 Color Fishfinder GPS, Raytheon ST60 wind direction indicator, and Raytheon ST5000+ Autopilot however the installation needs completion. She also comes with miscellaneous gear such as life jackets, oars, fenders, cushion, fuel tanks, boat hooks, etc. Boat has sailed in San Francisco Bay most of the time, with a few ocean trips to the Channel Islands, plus Lake Mead. Boat could be ready to sail in short time. A great boat for the seasoned sailor who doesn't mind putting in a little effort to making the boat ship shape again! $12,850.
