1999 Fountain 38 Fever, 2000 Fountain 38 Fever This is a one owner boat, bought new from Reggie Fountain, 38 Fever model. The engines are 750 hp dyno tested, naturally aspirated 600 cubic inch big block engines, the current configuration is designed to be reliable over top end performance, but the boat will still see upper 90's on the GPS. The Out Drives were switched to Arneson ASD 7 Surface drives, with 16.5" 29 pitch stainless steel props. Over the years in efforts to make a reliable boat we have modified the engine compartment to fit the following components. Sea strainer, transmission cooler, engine oil cooler and thermostat, power steering reservoir and cooler, thermostats on the fresh water loop. We have removed the fresh water tank to accommodate the cooling system components. Boat is fast, loud and an attention getter. Chris KellyYou’d never believe that the Baja 38 Special, referred to fondly as “Old Faithful”, has been in production for a decade. It has a sleek, modern look, and although truly a high performance boat, it’s smooth to the touch and easy to handle. The 38 Special has a wider beam than traditional offshore boats, enabling it to have a more spacious cockpit with plenty of different seating arrangements. The cockpit area of the 38 Special, is in a word, impressive. It has great looking upholstery and colors, and the layout of options makes for a comfortable and fun ride. The wraparound aft bench seat allows seating for up to five people, and if you’re really in the mood to lounge, the bench seat can also be folded down to a full size sun bathing area, while still allowing access to the wet bar. The padding around the sink and refrigerator are notably a nice touch, covering all angles for your guests’ safety. The HelmThe 38 special’s helm is easy to customize to your own liking, from the tilt steering wheel to the bucket seats with drop down bolsters. The 38 we tested had Mcleod power bolster seats, which I really appreciated when we were hitting speeds of 60 mph. Once underway you’ll find the windshield does a good job of deflecting the wind up and over your head with an unobstructed view. The Gaffrig shift and throttle controls are placed comfortably and operate with ease. As far as the layout of the gauges goes, they like the rest of the helm, make sense. They’re large and easy to read without taking your eyes off the waterway.Sun PadThe sun pad stretches the entire beam of the transom and doubles as the engine hatch. It’s contoured and fitted for lounging, and without too much effort you can easily go from the sun pad to the swim platform, which is seamlessly integrated into the hull and a

No other boat can come close to the 38LX. Period. Cut through the rough stuff and get to the best fishing grounds first. Back at the marina, live in luxury while others scramble for a motel room. Weve taken the finest features of Fountain Mercurys world-class fleet and combined them into one flawless package. Triple Mercury Verado outboards, combined with our twin-step, super ventilated Positive Life hull and notched transom pad keel give the 38LX the power of a knockout punch. Speeds top out at 61-mph plus. Throttle back to a comfortable cruise and stretch out the range to 450 miles or more. The spacious cockpit offers the fishability of a much larger sportfisherman with a Pro-Series 50-gallon circulating livewell, twin 150-quart fish boxes, rod holders, rocket launchers, and transom door. The helm station is completely equipped, including GPS speedo and a dual electric bolster/leaning post. The cabin has a full 6-foot 5-inch headroom, a galley complete with microwave, sink and fridge/freezer. Opposite this is a head with Corian counters, shower and VacuFlush toilet. Forward is a wraparound sofa with high/low table seating five comfortably. This converts quickly to a v-berth sleeping two. The world is at your fingertips with an entertainment center with flat-screen TV, DVD and stereo with CD player and remote. Your choice: make do, or make out like a bandit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Fountain 38LX Review You've never experienced a 38-footer with performance this good.I measure my success in life not by dollars but by the number and quality of great adventures I have. A pilgrimage to visit with Reggie Fountain and run his boats always qualifies as an adventure. I know that sometime during the day, I will get to drive ridiculously fast on the water and will love every minute of it. Fountain holds the world record for the fastest V-bottom boat, at just over 160 mph. The fun part of that from your perspective and mine is that Fountain translates the technology that allows that kind of speed into the company's other boats, like the new Fountain 38 LX - the LX denoting luxury. Performance We ran the 38 LX on the hallowed waters of the Pamlico River behind the Fountain factory in Washington, North Carolina. While a 3-foot wake constituted the biggest sea we could find, the 38's ability to ignore it completely speaks well for its projected seakeeping abilities offshore. Our boat sported triple 225-hp Mercury Optimax Saltwater outboards, along with a set of water pressure, voltage and trim-angle gauges for each. In addition, each Fountain receives a Gaffrig GPS-based Tattle Tale speedometer with analog face as standard equipment. This very simple but accurate unit remembers the top speed until you hit reset. 2003 Mariner 38 Orient Trawler "Magic Moment" is a wonderful opportunity for anyone looking for a later model trawler, well under $200k, that has the reliability and maneuverability of twin Cummins diesels as well as a wonderful two stateroom/galley up Europa style layout and design.   Add in the optional bow thruster and docking in tight quarters or going through locks is a breeze eliminating one of the "not so fun" parts of cruising!   "Magic Moment" also benefits from fiberglass rather than teak decks and her fuel tanks are made of fiberglass not steel which creates problems for so many other trawlers in this class.  The engine room is well laid out and surprisingly roomy still offering good outboard engine access even with the twin engine design.  Inside the cabin is finished in rich teak throughout and craftmanship is apparent in all the fine details.   The Europa design affords a nice covered aft deck as well as walk around side decks but still allows for plenty of light in the interior.  Two good size staterooms and a head with stall shower make this the complete package. "Magic Moment" will make a great boat for cruising the Great Loop, island hopping in the Bahamas or just running up and down the Chesapeake Bay!  She is conveniently located in Baltimore's Inner Harbor and is easy to view, just minutes off I-95 and only 20-25 minutes away from Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport.  Call Chuck Meyers today to set up an appointment!

This brand new design results from a close collaboration between Sunsail, Robertson and Caine, and Morrelli & Melvin (designers of high performance cats such as PlayStation and the world record setting Cheyenne catamaran), and features  Euro styling and a generous sail plan for a perfect combination of performance and fun on the water! The Leopard 38 features a large cockpit with an outside dining area and versatile ergonomic seating for up to eight guests. A functional hard-top bimini protects the cockpit area and helm station, where all the main sail controls are located for hassle-free manoeuvres, even with a limited crew. Powerboat-style open transoms really make boarding easy. Other neat features include a top-notch anchoring system with electric windlass, a convenient dinghy davit with electric winch, and twin 30Hp diesel engines for good motoring performance. The galley-up design incorporates a spacious saloon area and aft-facing galley with a serving window overlooking the adjoining cockpit area. Large vertical windows forward provide excellent shade and rain protection, and allowed the designers to maximize interior volume in the saloon area, with headroom of 1.95m/6ft 5in throughout. Accommodations include four double cabins and two forepeak berths, great for kids or additional storage, and two large heads with dedicated shower compartments.
