The 1997 Chaparral Signature 29 overall is in good condition. According to the Seller all the instrument panel and gauges work great. The Bimini Isinglass on the fully enclosed Helm has a couple areas of tears and could be replaced, the Bimini is older but is in relatively good condition. The galley features a one burner stovetop, sink, microwave and undercounter fridge/freezer - the Seller states that everything in the galley works great The Chaparral is ready to cruise. Great condition for her age, no musty smells. Carpet is in good condition. The upholstery was replaced a couple years ago by previous owner, looks great. The engine room was clean. There is a noticeable scrap on the starboard side at the swim platform on the side. The hour meter display indicates 515.3 hours. The custom wood table is gorgeous. The outdrives are Ocean X and were installed in 2019 to replace the XDP drives & currently have 55hrs on them. All 3 batteries were replaced in March 2021, and both fuel pumps have been recently replaced as well as the fresh water pump with 3 gpm. A new starter has been installed on the starboard engine. New bottom paint Feb 2022. Outdrives and both engines had annual service completed Feb 2022. Good condition engines are clean and ready to go. Isinglass is sunburned and needs to be replaced but the canvas of the top is in good shape. Interior is pretty clean and the hull is solid. She is in good condition for age. She got the gimbal bearings replaced, fully serviced on both engines, and bottom paint done on 7/2020. Bottom paint is maintained monthly. The boat looks to be in good overall condition. The exterior and interior were clean. The boat stays covered, and the cockpit shows well. The exterior cushions have a couple minor split seam and small tear on the captain's seat back rest. They are very minor and the cushions look like they have plenty of life in them. The helm looks great, there are two Garmin MFD units and upgraded gauges. The wheel, controls and switches look great. The woodgrain panel is stylish, there is some minor bubbling of the finish. The seller states the horn is not working and the cable for the vhf antenna needs repair. The hull sides show some light fading, a detail would bring them back to their glory. The topsides were bright and clean. There was no excessive cracks or wear, the swim platform has some cosmetic chips from dock rash. No soft spots were notice on the deck. The black canvas looks great, there are a few snaps missing. The bimini top hardware looks great. There are clear plastic panels, they look to be very nice condition, with minimal discoloration. The cabin looks very nice with minimal wear. The cabin sole looks great, there is some buckling by the steps. The cushions are in excellent condition. The countertop, cabinets and appliances are in great shape. The engine compartment shows well. The engines and transmission are bright red and look clean. The pulleys have normal surface corrosion. There were no signs of engine leaks or smells. The bilge had no oil floating. The generator looked to be in good condition with minimal corrosion. There are several broken hose clamps. The generator, bow thruster, windlass and spotlight are not in working order. The starboard engine currently is in need of repair.
