The owner of this Hatteras 36 Convertible has used the boat for fishing and cruising. The exterior surfaces are clean overall. The canvas looked good and the canvas over the aft deck was a recent addition. Isinglass was clear. The cushions on the bridge were cracking but functional. In the cabin, the wood features were finished nicely and had good shine with minimal scratches or marring. The carpet was recently installed. Lighting mostly appeared original and was mostly incandescent. The diesel engines are accessed through the salon floor. Aluminum framing holds the engine bay hatches in place and they appeared very solid. The engine compartment was dry and orderly. The generator has been removed and will need to be serviced or rebuilt. The props were dinged in shallow water recently and there is no prop vibration, the owner confirms. This owner replaced both starters, the hot water tank and the trim tab motor. The air conditioning is not working. Don't let this one get away! It's time to move up to a Hatteras! This 36 Convertible is a formidable sportfishing yacht and is available for sale! A Hatteras through and through, this 36 has broad shoulders and confronts the sea and swells like few other boats can. The aft deck is 12' 9" across and more than 9' long making room for the center rod holder pedestal, live well, big gunwales with rod holders, and a cleaning station with a sink. The distinctive Hatteras flair in the bow rejects spray making this boat particularly adept in rough conditions and dryer for its captain and crew! This 36 is powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 Turbo diesel engines. With two helms, she is commanded from both the bridge and from the marlin tower. On the bridge are a swiveling captain's chair, loungers on each side and enough storage for life jackets under the seats and electronics near the helm station. The bridge has a full enclosure with isinglass. The tower ladder continues at the top of the deck ladder for effective sighting from the tower and always a great vew. The cabin aboard the Hatteras is a stately mahogany-paneled delight. The salon is set up with a large leather sofa, cabinet and shelf space, and a full galley with an oven, three-burner stove, a refrigerator / freezer, and a galley sink. Canvas covers shade the forward windows. The side windows in the salon are nicely tinted and the blinds provide more protection. Stepping down into the ship's living quarters, the head is to port with a full stand-up shower. Two full-sized twin bunks are on the starboard side and the forward stateroom has great cabinet storage below the V-berth and in the partial bulkhead. Portholes are spaced nicely around the cabin providing excellent light. Whether sportfishing, cruising the islands or doing it all, this Hatteras is sure to make her new owners proud!

The boat is very presentable and looks well cared for. The blue wrap is shiny, but has some spots that could be repaired. The seller states the original white gel coat is in great condition. There are some gel coat chips in keel. No stress cracks were seen on the transom or other areas. Under the pulpit, there is some minor fiberglass cracking. The deck and hatches were solid. The in-deck boxes, storage compartments and wells look damage free. The head was odor free and clean. The Suzukis look good with the exception of peeling paint on the lower unit. The props look good with no damage. The trailer looks very sturdy with minimal corrosion. The tires are dated from 2021-2022. Stock #389984 Great Condition!!! They have low hours 464 for the port and 248 on the starboard engine. The starboard block was replaced in October 2023. The helm is well laid out and looks to be in good condition. Electronics consist of two Garmin MFDs, VHF, Fusion stereo, JL amps and JL speakers. The boat has a windlass and underwater LED lights. This boat is a great fishing platform. The foredeck has plenty of fishing space. There are two huge in-deck fish boxes for your catch or storage. Keep in shade with the forward sun shade, In-deck rod storage is located at both sides of the console. You can store a lot of gear, keep it secure and out of sight. There is a large head inside of the console with mirrors and a sink. Rod holders are located on the gunnels and leaning post. Rocket launchers are on the T-top and swivel outriggers to make a spread. A large live well is located in the transom, next to a sink. The boat comes with the triple axle trailer.

Click service, restoration projects.The cabin of the boat was stripped to bare fiberglass and given a primer coat of paint. 100% of the upholstery, foam, headliner, couches, mattresses and carpet were replaced with new. The lighting was updated to LED lighting to match the color scheme. Most of the through hulls, pumps, hoses, head etc. were replaced with new. The cabinets were painted to match the updated color and the stereo was replaced.The cockpit upholstery was also completely redone with new high end marine vinyl. The work is top class. The dash was replaced with a new panel. The gauges are all new as well as many of the switches. The throttle and shift controls were replaced with new Gaffrig controls. The steering cable, steering wheel and most other hardware was replaced. New snap out carpet was installed and a new Sunbrella cover was installed.We repaired blemishes in the hull and repainted the hull and deck. The silver to blue to black fade is perfect. The black has a sharp metal flake that really stands out in the sun. The striping is all painted- no decals were used on the sides or top deck. The pint work was done by CMT group in Elkhart, IN.The twin 454s were rebuilt to factory stock specifications. The Bravo 1 drives were inspected, freshened up and resealed. 2015 Chris Craft 36 Corsair Just traded. 2015 Corsair 36 Hardtop Heritage edition, 230 hours on twin Volvo D6 Diesels (370 hp) & joystick! This boat is loaded & has been kept under a full cover so it's like new. Some standard features are a cockpit sureshade, sunroof, refrigerator, dual cockpit air conditioners & a cockpit table that raises electronically from the floor. BRIEF SUMMARY Sometimes you don't want to fish, or ski, or wakeboard or do other activities that will cause you to break a sweat while boating. You just want to ride around living the life of Riley. On those days, you could do a lot worse than own a Chris-Craft Corsair 36, a runabout on steroids that's about a sexy and sweet-looking as a boat can be. A raft of people can sit comfortably in the cockpit for dayboating, or a couple can enjoy the boat as a compact cruiser for overnighting or short voyages. It will be one of the coolest-looking boats in any harbor, so if you want to see and be seen, the Corsair 36 could be just the boat for you. THE MISSION There is only one mission for the Corsair 36: To be the most jaw-dropping, stunningly handsome, alluring, flawlessly elegant boat on the water. Her classic beauty signals the taste and nautical refinement of her owner for all to see. CONSTRUCTION The most unusual aspect of her construction is the complexity or her tooling (i.e. molds). Every compound curve, reverse, relief and hull tumble home is made with molds within molds in one of the most complicated and artistic jobs of fiberglass construction in the industry. But it is these curves which make the Corsair what she is. Otherwise construction is basically traditional. A vinylester barrier coat is put on the hull exterior to prevent osmosis in the unlikely event the boat is left in the water for long periods. But this is really a summer boat, not a year-rounder. Her smaller Corsair sisters make excellent tenders for megayacht owners and, indeed, the Corsair 36 could serve the same purpose if the right 300-footer came along. ACCOMODATIONS Thanks to its size, the Corsair 36 can fit a comfortable cabin under its foredeck. There's 6' 2" of headroom and a midships stateroom with a queen-sized berth and a cedar-lined hanging locker. Forward there is a banquette that makes into a V-berth sleeping two. Drop in the dining table and it makes into a double. An adequate galley has a dual-voltage refrigerator, two-burner electric stove and microwave oven. The head compartment has a shower stall with a teak grate and electric toilet with macerator. For a runabout, the Corsair 36 should make a good cruiser, at least for short voyages and long weekends.
