This is a project boat. As per the seller, the hull is sound and the engine is in great running condition. The existing cabin interior condition looks to be good, just needs to be finished. The hull and deck need a good cleaning. Stock #256888 1980 Chris-Craft 280!! This is a Project Boat...but a Good One with Everything Included, Just needs to be Installed. Located in Plains, Montana, this 30-foot used Chris-Craft is a great express cruiser. Chris-Craft is an iconic brand whose boats offer classic traits and are suited for cruising any water. Powered by a Chevy 350 cu in engine with electronic ignition and a Velvet Drive transmission. Only run briefly for 15 minutes on a test stand. The engine is mounted, aligned and wired to the boat. Just needs to be hooked up to the battery and it's ready to go. The engine has a freshwater, Closed Cooling System. This Chris-Craft boat comes with a Custom Built trailer with Electric-Drum brakes on all four wheels and an extended hitch. Chose of two fuel tanks that are not installed. One is 50 gallons and the other is 140 gallons. They're Aluminum and we're custom made for the boat. Two new 30 gallon fresh water tanks also need to be installed as well as batteries. - 120 volt shore power system. - Two Bronze, three-blade props. - Refrigerator is 12 volt. - Stove is alcohol or electric. Cabin has 7 feet of headroom. Also a shower, sink and new dining table. All the upholstery is new, upgraded marine grade Naugahyde and foam. Flooring is also new. She has received Best of Show and Peoples Choice at the Toledo Antique and Classic Boat Show and the grand finale was receiving BEST PRESERVED CRUISER in Table Rock, MO at the Annual International Show hosted by The Antique and Classic Boat Society - ACBS the Grand-Daddy of the Wooden and Classic boat shows. These awards are only given to boats at the pinnacle of the condition ladder. Therefore, condition speaks for itself. Most recently, she has had new OEM aluminum fuel tanks installed and an aft seat installed and crafted to OEM drawings, which was an option back in 1948. Her interior is still in immaculate condition and everything functions properly. This Classic Chris Craft is well maintained and has lots of special features for its vintage. She is a 3 owner boat and has been in the family for 51 years!. In 1975 twin Chris Craft 300's were installed and have approximately 700 hours on them. Also onboard is a 6.5 KW Kohler generator with an on demand feature, The boat has an enclosed pilot house with a steering station. The forward stateroom has 2 bunks on the starboard side, with a sink, hanging locker and a head on the port. The Master stateroom aft has 2 berths, hanging locker and dresser. In the aft stateroom there is also a head with sink and fold down shower. The main salon is large and comfortable and sports a good size wood burning fireplace for comfy winter cruising and a queen size hidabed sofa. This is a 1967 Chris Craft Constellation 30 feet long 10 feet 8 inches wide. Weight is 8,920 dry.This boat has 2 Chevrolet 350 gas motors that were installed in August of 2009. The port motor starts and runs fine, the starboard motor would not fire this spring. We used the boat last year as a private boat for personal use as well as a public vessel with New York State certification for 8 passengers including a crew of two. We did cruises on Keuka Lake for hire at a cost of $300 per 3 hour trip for up to 4 guests. We included beverages and heavy orderves. The boat could do this again or be used for private use.The boat sustained damage while in dry storage for last winter and will float but pumps will constantly run. The keel has a 2 foot section that cracked from improper blocking and there are two small push ins from the Jack stands near the bow. The interior is in excellent condition, all pumps, toilet, sinks and electrical work. This boat has $4,800 in motors new in 2009, and can be parted out for thousands more. We would rather see someone repair it and use it as it should be. We do not have the time or energy to do it, Do You?It is located in Hammondsport, New York 3 miles from Keuka Lake. It does not have a trailer and will require a trailer or flatbed to be transported.We had it in the water in May of this year and did not feel comfortable leaving it in the water due to the water flow in the keel. It is a double hull solid boat, but needs work to be whole again. This is a SHARP 1989 Sportscraft boat. It goes fast and furious. GREAT for water sports behind the boat. Everything works, functions well - But the seats need to be replaced.
