1991 Island Packet 35 A fine example of these world cruisers and live-aboard vessels. Her life started in Lake Superior, in Wisconsin, and then she was moved to Texas. The owners at the time cruised her for a number of years across the gulf to the Bahamas, and ended up in Charleston. The boat then spent an extended period of time in Charleston, including a trip to the Bahamas. She then returned to Wisconsin in 2008, and has been in fresh water since then. This boat has always been maintained and consistently upgraded. She is mechanically sound, has all the comforts of home, and is ready to go cruising. The boat is in excellent condition, and just needs to be provisioned before untying the lines.

1991 Island Packet 35 This Island Packet is located here in Westerly, RI and can be easily shown by appointment! "Whisper II" is a very well maintained version of this popular cruising yacht from Island Packet. She is a two owner boat since New. The Island Packet 35 is a remarkable blend of traditional virtues, innovative design, quality materials and skilled construction. She is currently in dry storage and has a Fairclough Custom Winter Cover. "Whisper II" is a full keel cutter . Draft of 4'6" with a mast height of 48'. Her interior offers a tri-cabin layout with the forward cabin a V-berth with a cedar lined hanging locker, aft cabin features a double berth, dressing seat and hanging locker. Her main salon features facing settees, a fold down bulkhead table, a pull out double berth portside, and a full size navigation table. She has a U-shaped galley aft to starboard. Headroom is 6'4" As with all Island Packets all the ports are stainless. This is a great opportunity to own a high quality boat that has been very well maintained.
Island Packets are incredibly well designed and built boats, and the 35 is the perfect size. Big enough to sleep 7, small enough to handle by yourself. It's cushy, with more space than many much larger boats (6'4 headroom!). She is ultra-stable, with a limit of positive stability of a stunning 145 degrees. A perfect blue-water cruiser. The cutter rig and self-tending staysail make it extremely easy to handle solo in any weather. The mainsail halyard and all sheets and furlers come to the cockpit. Her galley is phenomenal: double stainless sink, pressurized hot water, 3 burners, oven, refrigerator, and lots of counters. She is also a perfect live-aboard craft, hot water shower, fans, and lockers galore. The drop-down table can comfortably accommodate 7 diners. The 35HP Yanmar diesel is easily accessible from 4 sides--a dream to work on. The dodger and bimini can each be raised/lowered in seconds, allowing you to adjust quickly for comfort. The swim ladder is integral to the rear pulpit, and a magnificent feature! There is nothing that the designer left to chance: I believe the Island Packet 35 is the most well-appointed cruiser of this size. Sails include main, staysail, working jib, genoa, and spinnaker, with most in great condition. Boat comes with Garmin GPS, fishfinder, Raytheon radar, VHF, knotlog, anemometer, davits, dual CQR anchors, bimini, dodger, cover (allowing rig), refrigerator, hot water heater (engine and electric heat), inverter, dual high-capacity batteries, Dutchman flaking mainsail, Autohelm, oversized 120A alternator, 3 extinguishers, flare kit, LifeSling, fenders, boom vang & preventer, ships clock & barometer, fans, Whale Gusher pumps, screens for portholes and hatches, cockpit cushions, helm backrest, lots of spares, etc. etc. She also has an awesome sound system, with Bose speakers in the cockpit. This boat has (unfortunately) been very lightly used, and has been out of the water for a few seasons. Only 2000 hours on the engine. I put 500 hours on it since I bought the boat 15 years ago. Now that our third child is in college tuition payments trump cruising. I'm the 3rd owner, and have the surveys from the first two owners for your inspection. She has been babied throughout her life, and has had no significant problems. She is presently dry-docked in Andover, ready to haul to your harbor. The best and fastest way to reach me is by email. I'll send lots more pictures!
1993 Island Packet Packet Cat 35 The Island Packet Packet Cat 35 Catamaran has a unique hull design. The forward section has three hulls. This removes the hull slap common to other cats in a seaway. It also provides more storage area under the forward deck -- enough to supply room for air conditioning units and general bulk storage. Here's a boats.com design review by Bob Perry: http://www.boats.com/reviews/boats/perry-design-review-packet-cat-35/ Two staterooms, each with their own head and shower, make an excellent cruising boat for two couples. Another design positive is the fact that the boat has a lower profile allowing the helm station to be at deck level in the cockpit. So many cats need the helm mounted up high so the driver can see over the cabin top. With a large dinette that converts to another double berth and a galley that has plenty of storage this is a great cruising sailboat. These boat details are subject to contract. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
1993 Island Packet Cat 35 Another fine example of the Island Packet commitment to excellence, the Island Packet Cat 35 is the perfect Caribbean escape vehicle, with plenty of muscle in its twin Yanmar diesel engines you can count on when the wind is down, and lots of sail area to move the boat impressively when it's time to sail. *** Unlike other Catamarans this boat will fit in most 40 ft. slips. *** This boat is rigged for cruising in style. This catamaran has two identical cabins, one in each hull which contain queen size berths, drawers and enclosed shelf storage, and 2 hanging lockers and a small bench. The cabins are bright and airy, with one large hatch and two ports over the berth area and three ports and one hatch in the dressing area. Each head contains one hatch and a port in head and shower areas. Access to the engines is aft of the shower, with stand-up room and a locker that opens overhead for air and light. The salon consists of a large wrap around windows that offers 180 degree views to the exterior. There is a dinette area forward of the galley with seating for 4. A wide shelf surrounds the salon area. Within the past three years, this vessel has seen extensive upgrades and maintenance in the interior salon and galley area.
