These changes include the interior layout as well as the shape and style of the keel to make the boat faster, better to windward, and more comfortable below. Morgan's trademark center-cockpit with nearly 360 degrees of seating, and more seating at second level behind helmsman. Down companion way into main salon, with deep, narrow galley to starboard, dedicated nav station to port. Comfortable full-length settee (sliding-door teak cabinets behind) is across from L-shaped dinette (more teak cabinets behind). Dinette table folds up to forward bulkhead for spacious entertaining. Hanging locker across from salon-entry to forward head. Thru bulkhead door into V-berth stateroom forward, with separate door into head. Plenty of shelving and storage. Going aft past nav station, the companion way has tool bench across from electrical panel and engine room doors. There's lots of unused space in engine-room for installing additional offshore systems. Thru the door into master stateroom aft, with athwartship double berth, bookshelves on 3 sides above berth, hanging locker,vanity, and en-suite head with separate shower-stall. Nearly flush deck design gives great interior volume. Remarkable number of Lewmar aluminum-framed deck hatches means she'll be self-ventilating even in the tropics! Rich teak interior woodwork throughout, removable carpeting with edging in both staterooms, hallway, and dinette area; easy-to-clean gel coated interior surfaces. Dark blue crushed velour upholstery throughout. Hull & Underbody: Charlie Morgan's later Classic hull-design (sharp-entry, cut-away keel, and skeg-hung rudder) for much better performance to windward than the older out-island hull shape. 1973 Morgan Yachts 41 Custom CB Yawl Linda Marie is a unique and one-of-a-kind 1973 Morgan 41 Yawl, originally purchased as a "kit-boat" in 1971 and completed and launched in 1973 by a master shipwright carpenter, Harvey Hawthorne, with interior oiled-teak cabinetry and a layout unlike any of the others. Her graceful & bullet-proof Full-Keel/Centerboard solid fiberglass hull only draws 4'3" with the centerboard up and 9'5" when down, for exhilarating upwind performance offshore. Owners report that they rarely drop the CB because she sails so well with it up, prompting some to comment, according to Practical Sailor, that "it didn't matter if it was blowing 7 knots or 18 knots, you can leave the helm, go get a cold drink below, come back, and find the boat just as you'd left her." She has a traditional layout with an unusually large 6'7" L. x 7' W. Master V-Berth, head with toilet & vanity to port, storage cabinets and drawers opposite, spacious Main Salon with 6'6" settees on each side & Twin 6'6" Pilot Berths outboard and above the Settees, followed by the Nav table to Port, Galley opposite to Starboard, and a 6'6" x 26" Quarterberth aft to Port. The Dawn Treader is a beautiful navy blue 1970 Morgan 34'. Maintained professionally for the last 14 years, her sleek build leaves all other boats her size feeling stout and clunky. In near Bristol condition, this 1983 Tall Rig Version, genuine Charlie Morgan, Morgan is a sea kindly, Full Keeled, Ketch rigged, Ultra strong, blue water cruiser. One of the last built by the Morgan Boatyard, being six hulls from the end of Morgan production. This classic, ubiquitous, cruiser has been continuously and extensively refitted over the last twelve years by a local Ft. Lauderdale shipwright. The gorgeous result has been used to attract most of his work. Accommodations Large luxuriant aft owner s stateroom with large double berth. Includes en suite head, with washbasin, dressing/changing seat, numerous volumous closets and storage, aft stairs to cockpit. Under the aft berth is a large drawer, more storage area as well as the equipment for hydraulic steering, and AC compressor, for central air conditioning (21,000 BTU reverse cycle air/heat). Amidships, Engine-Generator room, chart table and storage (water tank underneath), deep freezer and navigation chart area, hot water heater. Also amidships is the full service galley including refrigerator, Force 10 propane stove, and microwave, refrigerator, large double stainless steel sink.
