The vessel appears to be in fair overall condition. The seller reports that all systems are in good working order as expected with the exception of the refrigerator as noted. The standing rigging was replaced about 13 years ago, the running rigging is in good condition with a good inventory of spares. The boat is configured as a sloop, and the main sail has recently added taper battens that improve performance. There is also a 120% roller furler head sail. The hull has some exterior scratches and dings; no serious damage, however. The deck is solid. Stock #320794 ***SALE PENDING*** The Mac 65 was designed specifically for the Transpac. An impressive cruiser and racer that sleeps 8!!! The MacGregor 65-1 was originally designed specifically for the Trans Pacific Race (Transpac). The boat is powered by a Pathfinder In Line 6 Cylinder, 85 HP diesel engine with dedicated fire protection in the engine compartment, and another fire extinguisher in the salon area. The vessel is equipped with a GPS chart-plotter at the nav station with a repeater at the helm, VHF radio with AIS receiving and a remote mic at the helm, a RayMarine RL80C color radar station, and radar repeater. The port and starboard mid-ship and forward berths, a large V-berth with an after-market hatch above, and a double aft berth allow 8 to sleep comfortably onboard. The single head has a toilet with push-button macerator, a sink, and a shower with a tub. There is a main 12V panel, 2 auxiliary 12V panels, a battery switch, and battery charger. The galley features a 3-burner gimbal stove with oven, a sink, and a small refrigerator/freezer (needs compressor). Reason for selling is moving to the tropics.

You can tell the owner has taken care of this nice Macgregor. Other than needing a good buffing on the exterior the boat has aged well. According to the seller, all mechanical and operational systems function as intended. The four stroke Yamaha 40 HP engine is recently had its 500 hour service and is ready to go. The MacGregor 26M is a dagger-board equipped fractional sloop motorsailer for those who wish to have the ability to outrun a change in the weather or return to port quickly after a leisurely day under sail. Thanks to the detachable, hinged mast with a system for single-handed raising, lowering and securing for transport, the lack of a fixed deep keel, tilt engine and rudders, the boat can be trailered on conventional bunk or roll-on trailer. Under sail, the boat can make 7 MPH and under power the 60 HP Evinrude E-TEC outboard will enable the boat to plane at over 20 MPH, and with 24 gallons of fuel, it will do that for quite a distance. Classic MacGregor 25 "Brown Sugar" This is a very clean and very good condition boat. She is currently being sailed in Galveston bay. She has a swing keel, a pop up roof 6' 7" height, and a brown canvas cover over companion way and matching jib and main sail cover and foreword hatch and bimini top Sails are in very good condition. Very clean closed head with porta potty. If you're looking for a pick up and go sail boat this is it. I have a Vip galvanized trailer with led lights she sits pretty on double axle that comes with her. The cushions could use a dry cleaning but are ok the way they are. There are probably things you could find to do with her as far as clean up and little projects here and there as with any boat but this is not a project it's ready to play with as is I sail her every weekend as she sits now and she is a great vessel. I'm just looking for larger now to sail across the ocean. Have a look at the pictures you will be impressed she is beautiful. Zeus has a 70' mast, an 11'6" beam and a 9' draft. Zeus has a sugar scoop for easy boarding, a 52 hp Yanmar diesel engine, is sloop rigged and has a Maxwell electric winch.
