This is a nice blue water cruiser that can be sailed right now. The interior needs some T.L.C. The mast was stepped several inches too far forward from the factory and does not sit directly over the cross member. I installed a compression post for the time being until it can be hauled out and be re-stepped, the back stay shortened and head stay lengthened. It has been that way for 35 years but, when I had the rig tuned the rigger noticed it. After I installed the compression post He finished the job. It is probably stronger the way it is now. To re-step the mast is a $1900 fix at the yard through Atlantic rigging. The new hot water heater needs to be installed but there is currently a loop in the line so you can use the water system. The boat is very roomy and would make a good live-aboard. The head sail and life lines should be replaced. The anchor bit or, Sampson post shows some rot on the back side and should also be replaced or repaired at some point. There is a soft spot in the deck just aft of the Sampson post due to the deck joint at the Sampson post leaking at one point. The quarter berth cushions need to be recovered and the sidewall of the starboard berth needs new veneer. Wires need to be run from the new DC panel to the mast step for the mast lights to work. All else has been wired. The Perkins 4-108 puts out 50hp at 4000rpm. It has over 7000hrs but, runs strong and well. It starts right up. The bottom was redone in May of 2012 with new barrier coat and bottom paint. There is a survey from 2012 as well which is on the boat. I will not be bothered with trying to fax it or email it to everyone who wants to see it. You can look it over if you come to sea trial the boat. You will likely get your own survey anyway. You will find the survey to be consistent with my description. The boat is ready to go but, I would address the life lines, head sail, anchor bit and mast lights prior to any blue water sailing. She can remain in her slip in MD until December 31 for free and at $350 p/m after that until March 31. The boat will be moved to the transient dock on April 1 if not relocated by then. All photos are from 2013 and 2014. I will deliver the vessel for a fee to be determined based on location. This is a Tayana 36.9 for less than $50k that needs not much work. Come on folks, make an offer! This boat is turn key and sound.

1984 Brewer 12.8 This 42 Brewer 12.8 is newly renovated and ready to take you on your dream cruise today! In the early 1980’s, a group of 10 or so very knowledgeable yachtsmen whom had been sailing Whitby’s 42 went to Ted Brewer and had the boat redesigned. The design changes included substituted a cutter rig instead of the Whitby’s ketch rig, adding a Brewer bite to the keel resulting in a long fin keel with a skeg-hung rudder, adding a very well designed centerboard. In addition to the visible changes, the boats were re-engineered. The hulls are lighter and stronger, and the weight savings were used to increase ballast and stability. Today this same magnificent boat has been refitted with all of the modern technologies and amenities. MARATHI is ready to take your friends and family on the cruises that you have always dreamed of. The Navigation station has been completely redone using a Dell desktop computer as the control center to it all with use of the autopilot it is possible to sail the Boat from the Navigation station below deck, equipped with RATHEON 8002 Autopilot with remote, Raymarine RL72 24 mile radar, AIS, 19"Viewsonic Monitor- Chart-plotter, all linked to the Desktop below. The boat was built by Cheoy Lee in Hong-Kong, in 1976. Cheoy Lee 42, docked in Pillard Point (Half Moon Bay), registered in California. The boat is visible at Pillard Point marina, dock H-26. You can access the dock any time (there is no gate). If you want to see the inside, we will just need to agree on a time and date for me to show you. The boat is in good shape, we've been owning it, traveling and living on it since 2004. The engine will need some attention eventually, but it runs OK. Based on ads I see for similar boats, its value should be around $50,000, you can see it with the links below, they'll lead you to pictures . There was a recent storn and saome damge thgat was jsut foxed. But a starboard mizzen chain-plate got broken, and I am not going to be able to fix that quickly, it requires some time I don't have for now...Having a new chain-plate would take I believe less that $100, but it would take a couple of hours to put it in place. This is something a possible buyer should be aware of. Other than that this is perfect.http://donpedro.lediouris.net/journal/diary/2014.01/IMAG0518.jpghttp://trip-2010-2011.lediouris.netMore pictures of the inside are available at http://donpedro.lediouris.net/sleipnir/index.htmlAbout the maintenance, you can checkout the link at http://donpedro.lediouris.net/?view=protected/maintenance.html,Also, details on the equipment are available at http://donpedro.lediouris.net/clspec.html http://donpedro.lediouris.net/protected/maintenance.htmlsome pictures of the boat - inside and outside - available at http://donpedro.lediouris.net/?view=journal/index.html. read http://donpedro.lediouris.net.Details about the equipment (oven/stove, heater, watermaker, winches, auto-pilot, radio, electronics, etc). The boat has 9 sails (main, mizzen, trysail, new staysail, yankee, genoa, spinnaker, mizzen staysail, storm staysail).Mizzen and main have been recently (2014) reviewed and tuned-up by a Sailmaker. They are not new, but in OK shape. There is also a spinnaker sleeve.
